~Another Year~

Happy New Year to all my blogging friends..I think this time of year we all have reflections on what our life is all about and the many things we would love to be able to change about it..
I know I have had many struggles with heart issues now since last year and each day I wake up I feel God has once again Blessed me..
The one thing I can truly say is that this past almost 5 years I have been blogging I have so enjoyed getting to know so many kind people and will take these many fond memories in my heart with me..

Last year at this time I had nothing to share with all my non-projects I didn't get done and here we are at yet another years end and I still have nothing to share ha ha!!

Kenny Rogers song the "Gambler" said you got to know when to fold them..Well I'm now at this stage in my life that it is time for me to put this blog to rest..I feel I have nothing left in me to share..

I will miss so many people that I came to call "My Dear friends" so many of you have inspired me to want to be a better person..

I truly loved you all opening up your homes and your heart to me..My new word for 2013 is KINDNESS this I wish for each and everyone of you..Be healthy and don't ever take for granted your health!! One day you can be fit as fiddle and the next just trying to breath each day...Always love your family and show them each day how much you do love them..

Before I call this a wrap I want to wish my dear blogging friend BJ at Sweet Nothings a very Happy 75th birthday..I'm so glad I met you on Rate my space and was able to reconnect with you in Blogland..

Many Blessings to each and every one of you that took the time to just come by and say Hi Gloria..

Much love to all of you and THANK YOU for all the fond memories..

With KINDNESS from my mountain to yours,

Hugs and Love Gloria

Who knows maybe I'll back for Bubba and Patty Ann's Christmas letter 2013

Gloria, I think that we all have to do what we deem is best for each for us- so your decision must have been made with a lot of thought. It was always a delight to see your home and your beautiful belongings and I got a kick out of your jokes and cartoons! And seeing how you adored your grandchildren was so sweet. Should you change your mind, I'm sure your friends wouldn't mind if you posted whenever you could. I hope the new year brings happiness and peace for you and your loved ones. XO due

Gloria- I am praying that you will find peace in the upcoming year and that your heart issues will resolve so that you are not afraid. Heart issues are so scary. My hubby is on call tonight and is down in Advanced Care with a heart patient as I type. God bless you. I have followed you for the past year or so and always loved your posts. Take good care- xo Diana

Gloria: This post is really sad, in the fact that I didn't know about your heart issues. I'm so sorry but hope that the new year will bring you peace and healing and please don't completely give up your blog, just let it rest with you for awhile and stop to chat from time to time, my good friend..Judy

Oh Gloria,
I am sad but I understand. I still hope to see you on fb sometimes.
I am so sorry you haven't felt well lately. I will be thinking and praying for you my dear friend.
You and your blog have brought me so much joy! I think of all your posts that had me chuckling away. Your beautiful home, filled with amazing antiques. Your lovely family. And all the fun we've had through these years. Plus the cards and gifts you sent are cherished and have made me feel so blessed that your my friend.
I will miss this beautiful blog and I just hope you can keep sharing on fb. I love seeing your grandbabies and hearing from you dear friend.
Biggest hugs to you dear Gloria,
Cindy

BWAAAAAAAAAA......I don't want you to quit. If you only posted one time a month, just hearing from you on top of your mountain up there, would be awesome. I know this has been a hard year for you...and I know there's times when you are too tired to even THINK of writing a post.

PLEASE don't delete your blog, sister friend. Even if you don't post for awhile....leave the blog in place so that you CAN post a line or two every now and then, if you should want to.
I pray for your complete recovery...I pray for you to feel good again and maybe it's just going to take a little more time.

Thank you so much for the great birthday wishes....I wish we lived close enuf that we could meet somewhere for a great dinner, a glass of wine and a LOT of laughs to celebrate not only my 75th but our friendship. I always hang the little teapot tassel you sent me on my Christmas tree and this year when I hung it, I whispered a prayer for you. I ask for health, joy and contentment for you, my friend.

I know you are tired....and think you "have nothing to share" with your blogging friends. I promise you that we love just a few words from you...you don't even have to post a picture ever again if you don't feel like messing with it.
Blogging is a way to stay in touch with friends...get a new recipe...try a new craft...have a prayer spoken for you and gives you the chance to say a prayer for someone in need.

Keep your beautiful blog...don't delete all these many years of wonderful posts, photos, feelings...even if it's another 6 months, or a year, before you post again, it will be there for you to use.
I love you, Gloria....
xoxo bj

Gloria,
I am so sad to hear this but I do understand.
I will never forget that you were one of the first bloggers that reached out to me when I started blogging. We shared a love for a similar style and era and i always marveled at your beautiful home which I truly will miss seeing.
Reading about everything you have done in life and have gone through has amazed me and made me want to be like you.... a strong woman.
My life truly has been blessed by "meeting" you and I will never forget my friend that lived up on her mountain!
Please stop by and visit with me from time to time.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers and will continue to pray for your health.
Will miss you,
Hugs and love,

Gloria, I so hope the new year brings better health your way. Although I selfishly hope you don't give up blogging because I so enjoy your posts, I do understand that you have to do what is best for YOU. As a lover of antiques, I've learned so much from reading your posts and have done some major drooling over your gorgeous home and furnishings. You will so very greatly be missed in the blogging world! Take care and hopefully we'll see you here again soon.

Gloria, my life has been so hectic with our new grandbaby that I'm just now getting over here to read this. I'm sad to read this, but glad that I can go back and revisit your home by coming to your blog, because I always loved seeing all of your petty treasures, and I especially loved seeing your blue and white kitchen. You've provided inspiration for me since our RMS days, and whether you blog or not, you'll still be inspiring me. Please keep in touch, sweet friend. You know I love ya, Laurie

Gloria I have been so amiss about coming over- and then I find your post. I too wrote a post the beginning of the year sharing that things are changing and I am not sure what that means for my blog but that I will just follow the Father's leading. Have posted 2 times since then but am not going to succome to the pressure of having to in order to keep readers.

You have been a precious part of my blogging years and even Rate My space .

Pray that you are feeling His comfort and that these days are filled with knowing Jesus more deeply- it really is all that really matters in this world when the chips are down!

Please know I would love to pray with/for you so keep in touch if/when you can!

Gloria Thank YOu for coming by for a Blog Visit and to leave such sweet words... Admiration, that was an uplifting word that I'm not sure I'm worthy of, but it was so heartfelt that it was received with humility and grace, Thank You! Often the Blogging Community has filled the void that has been left when others have moved away and are no longer here to be the sounding board and offer all of the Blessings Friendships give to each of us in our Lifetime.

Hugs back at ya... Dawn... The Bohemian
