Hello !! Girls well here we are with the Last Tablescapes for the month of April...And Boy did we have some GREAT ones this month or what?? And let's don't forget the Queen of Tablescapes our very own QUEEN SUSAN"S " At Between naps on the porch"

Now the other day I was making a new vignettes for my table top...I don't know about you guys But I change out my Table top at least twice a month...I get tired of looking at the same thing...And of course I had just gotten these sweet Bunnies from Picket...and as I could not just hide them in the hutch I thought I would put them out to enjoy and they just seem so SPRINGY to me....( Now Len's idea of a table vignettes is his ball cap, truck keys, wallet and a sweat shirt tossed on the chair and what ever nails and screws he had in his pocket) Oh Girls there I go digressing again...So You seen my Bunnies and Ironstone in my last post Right...OK go look I'll wait... Oh You don't have to their right here....

Now these Bunnies I just love with all there pretty lace on them...The Big one I named Bill and the small one is Dot...YES IT"S DOT....Now so long as I was redoing my table I thought I would toss out some dishes and do a pretend I was having a Lunch...

Now I just love blue and white together...

And of course my Target Birds came back from their ROMAN Holiday and were ready to go back to work again...

These plates I got at Second Sunday Swap meet...they are Royal Stafford shire Tonquin Pattern...I got 4 of them for $5.00 plus the gal even tossed in a salad bowl just to get rid of me ha ha!!

Now these I got at Ross the first of the year....I love the little flowers on them...

Now last Friday I was in Hospice and found these sweet little coffee mugs...these so reminds me of the Lace on my Bunnies...they were a quarter a piece...Water glasses from the Dollar tree...Love the Blue stems on them...Flatware from Wally World...White Ironstone coffee pot Hospice $3.50 , Lemons and flowers Dollar Tree

So girls there is my Blue and white with a POP of yellow tossed in...Now does this not look SPRINGY...Or do you want me to show you next week how Len does a table ha ha!! I am sure there are a few guys that would love it....

~SAY CHEESE~

Hello !! guys well were off to another fun week in blogland....I hope all of you had a great weekend....I know I did I just loved doing Chari's at " Happy to design" new RE POST SUNDAY how fun was that?? Not only did we get to do a DO-OVER but got to meet some new friends along the way... And that is my all time favorite thing to do in the wonderful world of blogging...I just love all the wonderful peeps I meet...How about you??

Now today for Met Monday I thought I would show you how to make another cloche....Met Monday is also one of my all time favorite thing to do....This is Hosted by none other that the Queen of Blogland...our very own sweet Susan at "Between Naps on the Porch" Now I also know darn good and well that girl never stay's still long enough to take a nap ha ha!!! Please go by and see her GREAT blog... And you'll seen what I mean lol!!

Remember this Cloche I made from an old vase and the top of a candle....Of course you do !!! Turned the vase upside down, glued the glass candle top on the bottom of the vase with my trusty Gorilla Glue...Love this glue...its much stronger than super glue...cost more but so worth it...its always holds for me....

Any way this is how that project turned out...got me a new cloche, with just shopping my house...

Now Len came bringing this Cheese keeper home to me from a yard sale...He was so excited because he though he found me a Cloche lol !! he paid a quarter for it...Now these thing were so popular in the Seventies...just look at the Earthen tones on the tile...

See what I mean ?

Well girls I shopped my house again to see what I could do with this old thing...Found me a Chintz dessert plate and old sherbet glass and my trusty Gorilla Glue...

I glued the plate on to the glass....

Put one of my fake cakes on it...or is that faux ?? never can remember what its called anymore ha ha!

Added the dome and I now have another small Cloche....

Put a little silver tray and a tea pot picture frame in it...Just another look...

Or how about a bird nest with little eggs?? So girls next time you are out and about at the thrift stores or yard sailing...look for these old Cheese Keepers...You can make a small cloche for very little Dollars this one costed a whole quarter to make......Just shop your house to see what you can use in old plates and glasses...I just love to take things and make them into something useful again....

May all of you have a GREAT day...I have to go work on an old light fixture I found at Hospice thrift store than I am making into a candle holder...May be next week I'll show it to you !!!

~Don't Wet Your Mustache..Repost Sunday~

Hello girls!! Well today the Birthday of Chari at " Happy to Design"

Called "SUNDAY FAVORITES"

This is a brand new meme in blogland and how fun is this going to be...We get to do a repost of one of our old posts...I just love this Brain Child of Chari she came up with...Many of are so busy on the weekend...and we have so many new blogger's who might not of seen one of our post that we did last year...and the best part of doing a repost is it's already done and all you have to do is hit publish...No fuss, no bother, I explained in my last post how to do this...but you really need to go visit our wonderful Hostess Chari and get all the instructions for this ...Then just add her" Sunday Favorite "Button hook up to her Mr. Linky and you will be all done...

Now I though I would show you a post I did back in October 27, 2008 It's all about my collections of Mustaches Cup's...

I thought I would share a interesting collection with you today...How many have ever heard of a Mustache Cup ?? allot of people when they see these think they are Shaving mugs.. See the lip at the top of the cup...well these are Men's Mustache cups...Yes you heard me right very fancy but for men...how ever I have seen a few women that could use these also. ha ha!!..Now the Mustache cup was Invented in 1830 by a very clever Englishman by the name of Harvey Adams.

Mustache's cups were originally called Napoleons and saucers, because at that time, men wore Napoleon or small beards and mustaches. Mustache cups did not become popular in America until 1845....As men were using " Old Reliable Hair and Whisker Dye" and curling their mustaches at that time and the Hot liquid would melt their wax..

Now this is really 2 cups that came with a set of dishes...at that time they would thrown in a man cup when you bought the dishes..so you see I have a ladies cup and a mustache cup both matching. This was a rare find and tell me I wasn't doing the Happy dance the day I found these..

These I love as they were given away as Presents..they say, Remember me, Think of me, Brother, Father , Forget me not. etc.. What a neat gift for the time.

I just love the Butterflies handles on these and also the Angel one...The black cup says on the bottom of it to Lewis Christmas 1883...guess I should have taken a picture of that...

These cups came in all shapes and sizes, the little one in front is a R.R. Prussia cup, also have a collection of this china...The R.S Prussia one was also a rare find and the most collectiable one.. Now the one every one is really looking for is a left handed cup.. I have been collecting these since 1982 and has yet to find a left hand one... so the hunt is still on... Oh stop the madness !!

Don't you love the squares ones ? and how men could put there finger in this handle is also a mystery...they must of had small fingers over hundred years ago.

Oh and the silver ones are so pretty., I guess they much have been for the wealthy Men !! and I will tell you I hate cleaning Silver. I just did it for you guys today..Probably won't get done again for awhile I like to tell people they are Pewter ha ha!!

They also came in many colors...these are my blue ones and the big one in front is from England it a Royal Stafford shire and of course I love these as they are Blue and White...and it what they call Flow Blue..

Odd Color for a man, but these are some of my Pink cups, I just love all the kids at play on the first 2 cups in front row.. How sweet is that !! I have over 150 Mustache now in my collection WOW!! another collection gone wild... these were like Lays's Potato chips with me couldn't stop with just one lol!!

Now I know you are probably thinking where are earth would she keep so many cups?? well I have 1 China cabinet with them in and then I hired a contractor to come and add display cabinets between the studs in my dining room...you can see I have them on both sides of my window seat now... I have lights also in them so they look real pretty at night time...Hope you all enjoyed a little mini- history on Mustaches cups...

Now girls Please go by and see Chari and check out all the others who are joining in today and see what maybe you have missed ...Lets call it a "Blast from the Past Day"
May all of you have a Great Day....

~ ATTENTION LADIES~

Good Morning guys, I am so excited...WE have a brand meme being Born here in the wonderful world of blogging on April 26 th...Oh Girls this is going to be so fun...This is the brain child of Chari at "Happy to Design"

Now we as blogger's have all had a favorite post we did in the past, and maybe would like to share it again with our new blogger's friends....I know I have some I would really like to do a repost of...And whats so great about doing a repost post...is it's all ready done and ready for you to hit publish...Below our the instructions on how to do this and Please do your self a Big favor and go by and meet Chari if you haven't yet...She is a wonderful friend and blogger and have a beautiful blog...So Ladies Let's give Chari a BIG send off with this new meme and lets get to meet some new friends here...So go by Chari get your button and hook up to Mr. Linky on Saturday night... Information on how to republish a past post:

This is really quite easy to do!!! "Sunday Favorites" is all about keeping it fast and easy! There are two different ways that you can republish a favorite past post.
Method One...

I. Decide on the post that you would like to republish...go to "edit posts" and find that particular post. Click on edit to open that post. Simply change the "Post Options" date from the original posting date to this Sunday's present date. (Post Options can be found in the bottom left hand corner of your Edit Posts.) It's really that simple...so fast and easy!!!
****WARNING***

***Note: If you should choose to republish a post using this method, be aware that you will be moving the entire post to the present date. It will remove it from your archives or original posting date. Some of you may not mind if this is done...however, if you would like to keep the post you have chosen to republish...in your archives...you will want to follow method II.

Method Two...
II. This is the method of "republishing" a favorite post that I will be using...simply because I would like to keep the original post in it's original place in my archives.

1. First of all, decide which post that you would like to post again for "Sunday Favorites".

2. Go to "Edit Posts" and find that particular post.

3. Click "Edit"....this post should now be in edit mode.

4. Choose the "Edit Html" tab (the upper right hand corner). You will now see the HTML language or computer language that this post is written in. Simply copy the entire post.
***For those of you who may need direction in "how to copy"...simply left click at the beginning of the post...photos and all...and drag your mouse down the entire page...everything will be highlighted in blue! Right click on the highlighted blue area. You have just copied this post to your computer's clipboard.

5. Now you are ready to create your new post. Go to "Create" a new post.
Go to the "Edit Html" tab (the upper right hand corner) This has to be done in HTML mode! Now simply paste your copied past post. You can go back to "Compose" mode to check and see if all was copied correctly. There should not be any problems!!! And there you have it!!!

6. Now that you have created your past post once again....you can edit, add to, etc. as you wish! For instance...you may want to include at the beginning of your post...that you're are participating in "Sunday Favorites" , etc. It's just business as usual at this point. You can download the "Sunday Favorites" photo button!

Of course, I sure would appreciate you adding the "Sunday Favorites" button so you can link your favorite Sunday post back to my blog!!!

We'll all cross our fingers that this will all work out and be lots of fun!!! If you have any problems or questions...I will certainly be happy to help you in any way possible...although I have to admit that I'm definitely not a computer genius!

Thank you!!!

Love ya'll,
Chari

Thank You Chari...I am really looking forward to this fun day...Who knows what I'll find in my old posts ha ha!!

May all of you have a great day...
