Hello Guys...I thought I would show you a few more things from Second Sunday Swap meet....It's really Called the" Sacramento Antique Faire" But I always call it Second Sunday so I can remember what day of the month it on ha ha!! Hey I suffer from "Old Timers" now...There are over 300 dealers each month from Sacramento, San Francisco,Berkeley,Napa Valley, NO.Cal.Valley, Los Angeles, Utah and Oregon...Now you ca see why so many people love it... Now I got this Brass bird cage just thought it would be cute in my Living Room....

Now Girls this Old wicker porch swing I just feel in love with...but someone had already bought it sighs.... The fountain was not a bad price $275.00 I seen them for more at the garden center without this much charm...

Also thought this would be cute out side...I could just see BJ, from "Sweet Nothings" doing a wonderful TT on this with all her Red...would it not just give it that POP...

And this wonderful Iron Urn is so Melissa From " Melissa's Heart and Home" would this not be pretty with all her wonderful Iron piece's she already has....

Can you ♥ a bike...Oh I just loved this sweet little thing...I could just picture this on my front porch with my big bike....

Now these just SCREAMED Shelia to me from " Note Songs" would she not a ball doing one of her great tablescapes with all these Darling Salt/peppers....

Hey Picklepoo did you find any you don't have ha ha!!

Now wouldn't Cass at " This Old House" just love these old toilets and sinks...

This I just thought was too cute...If I had room for it in my sun room I would have brought it home...Ha ha!!

Now this sweet Iron table and chairs with the watering can so reminded me of Glenda at " Tootsie Time" could you not see this on her great Stepping stone patio she just made...Yes Girls this Tootsie made her own patio with I think 58 bags of cement WOW!! If you haven't been to her blog...Please do yourself a Big favor and go see what she can do with her Greenhouse and yard...it's truly amazing...

Loved this "Morning Glory" RCA horn and Player...

My Granddaughter just loved this Robin egg Blue side board...It was only $195.00 not a bad price....

Loved all these sweet Pillows this gal had made from Vintages linen's...

All this Mercury Glass so reminded me of Lynne From "Lynne's Gifts from the Heart " And all these Cloche's are so her...

I could have used this for Marty "Cloche Party" the other day...was that not fun girls...I seen so many wonderful things you could do with Cloche's you ladies are just amazing what you came up with...THANKS Marty and everyone else for a fun day...

Now this little Chandy reminded me of something that Laurie from "Bargain Hunting with Laurie" would have and have Pearls stung on it... Or as her Hubby likes to call them the family Jewels ha ha!!

Now this Old Ship's Captain desk just SCREAMED My name...but will tell you that man that had this space was the all time rudest man I had ever met...It had no price on it...so me being the Antique shopper that I am asked him how much...He told me you are like the 50th person to ask me today...So listen real close because I am not going to repeat this again today...Right now it's $925.00 but if you come back at 2pm I will take bids for it...told him Sorry I didn't mean to bother him and didn't know I was at an auction...Wished him Luck and walked away...I mean come on this is a swap meet guy not "Butterfield" Auction house...All I can say is Thank God Daughter # 3 was not with me or that guy would have been wearing that desk where the "Sun don't Shine" ha ha!! She's my Daughter that came out "Swinging a purse and Chewing Gum"

These Old wicker chairs reminded me of Dot at " Picket's Place"

Now 20 years ago I would have loved to had this in my kitchen..I use to have my whole Kitchen done in Watermelons then....Gal wanted $100.00 for all ...not bad...

Now daughter # 2 loved this old truck...thought it would made a great coffee table...

Cute old stove...I could just picture this at "Ksarrasarra" With it's Marta Stewart's green color... This would look just wonderful in her home...

~ SECOND SUNDAY FINDS~

Hello Girl's....well this is one thing I got at Second Sunday...it's a fainting couch... not a child's "Fainting couch" it what they call a Salesman Sampler...Many people think when it's little it's for a child but not always so...As you can tell my by doll here this is way to small for a child....This is from ca. 1850 and Years ago Salesmen would have all there wares with them and travel across country selling them...He would stop in your town show you what he had all in miniature working order you would then order it and wait for it to be sent to you...in the Large size...Like if you wanted a new cook stove...he had a miniature one all in case iron with the oven doors that open...burner covers that could be removed etc...With the company's name on it... Now I am sure this piece was with a Salesman that had a wagon for his ware's...They also had Traveling Salesmen's with only small items and they would carry them in Bags made from carpet...thus the term "Carpet Bagger's" Salesman's had everything you could think of in miniature size...from furniture to house ware's to Farm equipment....This was also how Sears started their company...After sampler's they then went to Catalog sales...

Now this "fainting couch" even has Horsehair stuffing...Years ago they also used Horse hair as stuffing for furniture...My Dining room chairs have Horse hair and let me tell you sometimes you will feel it and it will feel like wire sticking up from it...OUCH!!

Just Look at the detail on the wood front...Oh I love the Swan on this back...

Even the arms have the beautiful details on them and the legs...

This is the bottom...Also love the fabric on this piece..Now that has been redone...I am sure at one time it was done in Velvet....

Now my doll is only 24 inches and she from Germany 1890 from Doll maker Arnuad Marseilles...Her eyes open and close and she have front teeth...This Doll Is what they called a Sunday Doll as you were only allowed to play with them after Church on Sunday...Her body is white leather, feet arms and face are Bisque and she is stuffed with Saw dust...She belonged to my Great Grandma....Who then gave it to my Aunt Margie and my Aunt gave her to me 25 years ago...I had new hair put on her and the shoes are new...But all her clothes are original...this is her Sunday Dress and also have a Play dress and apron and bonnet for her....Tell me I was not lucky to get this great Doll...

After sitting in this chair she so likes having a "Fainting Couch" to lay down on...This chair I also got last year at Second Sunday...Paid $100.00 for it...if you click on the picture you can see the wonderful condition it's still in...loved all this wood craving on it...Now the Fainting Couch was $75.00...Had the guy known it was a Salesman's Sampler I am sure he would have charged me more...I hope you enjoyed my Mini Antique history lesson and Also I will show you the rest of the stuff I got this week....I also found a Ironstone soup tureen just like the one I got from Hospice and they wanted $45.00 for it...So tell me I wasn't doing my Happy Dance only paying $4.50 for mine....

Now Girls this fun day is Hosted By Diane at A Picture is worth a 1,000 Words...Please go by and see all the great eye candy awaiting you today...Thank you Diane for yet another fun Tuesday...

May you all have a safe and Blessed day my friends...

Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
