~Victorian Side Board~

Hello!! I'm so glad to be joining in on one of the sweetest gals in Bloggerville Marty's Vignettes day...Thank you so much Marty for taking over this fun day for us...Now those that come by here know I'm not a Modern Millie, I swear I should have been born in a differ era ha ha!! I love the Victorian Era...Maybe because it's so romantic to me or was just a simpler time....

This is my Dining Room side board with 3 differ looks....Old photo album with the ink well , photos, Books, Art Nouveau Picture frame with a picture of my Grandma and Grandpa....

One of my Favorite Ooh la la French Bust, Satin opera gloves, a Mojolica Lamp , Old Camera and again old photos...I just love old photos....

A Summertime pattern Chintz tea cup and saucer, Tin type picture, Stereo Viewer with cards, Silver and pearls all sitting on a lace cloth...Hope you enjoyed seeing my side board with its many looks...if you want to see more of this side board check out my side bar....Now in all my travels in Bloggerville I just knew one day I would find my Victorian soul mate...You know someone who love's that look like I do...well 2 weeks ago I met her and her name is Kim at "The Victorian Parlor" please do yourself a favor and go by and see her wonderful home and blog even her header picture made me sigh...I could just move in there and do my Happy Dance ha ha!!

Thanks Marty and Thank all of you for coming by and seeing this ole gal...

From my mountain top to yours until next time....

Oh Gloria, you are definitely the dearest friend ever. Thank you so much for joining the party. I just drooled over the first pic of your sideboard, and then the next one I just about quit breathing, and then you still had more. You are definitely so creative and I love viewing what you do with all your gorgeous antiques. I use to have some of those opera gloves and wore them many times. How fun is that. I have no idea what ever happened to mine. Thanks again. Hugs, Marty

You have so many beautiful items and I never get tired looking at them. Probably the only ones I would not use in my house would be old pictures because I am afraid of them, lol. I am just a scary cat. That's why I always tag along whenever John has to go out of town for a meeting. I cannot sleep at home by myself and I don't even have pictures of the dead in the house. Your vignettes are beautiful...Christine

GLoria~~~

I love your beautiful sideboard and all the the neat pieces you have displayed. I am sure each time you look at them there is a story about how you found and fell in love with each one. You should really have been from the Victorian era. My mother said I was meant to have been from the forties...whatever that meant! ;-)

Girl you and I are definately kindred spirits!!! I am in awe after looking at your GORGEOUS dining room vignette (how funny that we both did a dining room post on the same day:). You and I are without a doubt in the wrong era! I love visiting your blog and I am so glad that we have become Victorian friends:). Thank you so much for your gracious comments and mentioning my blog-it warms my heart.

Blessings fellow Victorian sister,

Gloria, you do amazing arrangements with your equally amazing collections! LOVE the opera gloves; my theater student daughter Anne -- who also sings opera! -- would be SO jealous if she saw them!

And that little sugar scuttle you have? I have its twin, in pewter!

Small world.

Did you see my Dad in my blog post today? He's doing well; Peggy and i are keeping him busy. He'll be 90 in May and we're planning a big party.

I'll blog about it... Meanwhile, I have decided to KEEP MOVING! More on that at another time..., Love, Cass

Oooohhh...what a sweet post, Darlin'!!! Gloria, your fabulous sidebar is just perfect for showcasing all of your beautiful Victorian pretties!!! This was such a treat...seeing three different vignettes! Girl, you've been busy! hehe! Well Sis, I love all three vignettes...seriously!!! And...there are certain details that I just adore about each vignette but as a whole...I think the second vignette is my favorite! Of course, you probably know why...that fabulous french girl!!! I really enjoyed seeing your old camera and stereo viewer...awesome! Ohhh...and all of the old, old photos just lend to the perfect Victorian ambiance!!! Girl, you did GOOD!!! Thank you so much for sharing all of your pretties with us...you did a magnificent job of creating these fabulous vignettes!!! They are like "works of art"!!!

Well my friend, as you can see...I'm up and it's in the middle of the night! Don't know why I'm so "keyed" up...but I'm not the least bit sleepy! Of course, I will probably crash all day tomorrow! I really do hate doing that but hate just laying in bed trying to sleep..even worst! Read your note, sweet girl! Hehe...bet you looked real "fine" in those new jeans! I really need to get mine ordered! Can you believe how fast the time is going by...it won't be long and we'll be having the time of our lives in Vegas!!! Yeeehawww!!!

You have the most amazing things, Gloria! I am fascinated by all of it. It must have taken years and years to collect..
I am looking for one of those little silver thingys that hold sugar cubes. I saw one at a Estate sale and passed it up not know what the heck it was! Can you imagine that? Now I cannot find one for love, nor money!!
Everything is lovely!
I wanted to do this today, but I am still knee in getting some of my stuff put up and have no idea where to put it...I think I'm just tired.
I cannot wait to see the photo's of the party in a few months! CANNOT wait!
Hugs and love,
Mona
