~WELCOME ABOARD~

Hello Girls...well today Our Hostess Barb's at Grits and Glamour

Is having a Porch and Patio Party...How fun is this going to be seeing everyone great out door space...I don't have a porch ready yet to show...But I asked Barb if I could do my Sun room and she being a kind Southern lady of course told me Yes !!
So "WELCOME ABOARD" my mountain top girls....ha ha!!

Please grab a cup of hot coffee and a fresh baked sugar free cookie and I'll show you around my Sun room....Don't you love my little boat tray....and notice even the coffee mugs have Lighthouse's on them...

This Sun room we just added in 2006 and it's a four season..its all glass...oh and don't use a weed eater next to it...Len did this after I told him not to and broke the window..Can you say the man needs to listen to me !!
I have always loved the ocean...but of course I live in the mountains...So with this room I decided I would bring the ocean to me...

See I even have a Lobster pillow...Len painted the floor in here OCEAN Blue for me...Hey I can pretend you know...

Toss your hat on the chair...and will take a little tour.... This was My Daddy's hat from cabo...sighs..

Now this is what you'll see if you leave my kitchen...this is the left side of room...

This was my Mama's Bathing suit from the fifties...And the fish ball hanging there My Aunt brought me home from Guam...

Walking in from out doors....

Now this little table I just fell in love with when I seen it in a catalog...love the little Oar legs on it and the boat shaped top...Just knew I had to order it...The tray on the coffee table goes inside of it...

Now I shown everyone my Diving Helmet that Len got me for Christmas last Year...and the Old port hole...this sits on top of my Soda Frig... Picture is of the Hole in the rock"...Cabo..

A fish net I hung up with S-Hooks added some shells, an oar I got at Second Sunday Swap meet that I paint Yellow and some of my Aunt's Old Shell necklace she brought back from Guam...

An Antique ship's lantern...

Now these were some old dirty shelf's I painted white added to the only wall out here...Don't you love Paint?? It always makes everything so fresh and new again...

Now this is a drop front desk that Len had and girls it was so ugly and brown...I just painted this last weekend white and then Painted the ship on it...See it's all about the Ocean..

"FULL STREAM" ahead....Look even my rug has anchor's on it and Sailor's knots...

Ship's Cleat's...

Now this sign I just love it fore warn's you before you come into my house that their no Martha here ha ha!! OMG I can see me in the window...

Just another sign hanging from my Sea Shell wreath...But will tell you Len thinks this sign is for everyone but him ha ha!!

Well girls I hope you enjoyed seeing my little Sun room in the Mountains...Now Please go see Barb, Thank you Barb for this fun day for us gals...

May All of you have a GREAT Day...

Hugs and smiles Glria

Mornin' Sis...

My..Oh My!!! Girl, you know that you have the best of both worlds right there in your fabulous sun porch!!! A view of the mountains right in the midst of a coastal getaway!!! It just doesn't get any better than that!!!

Girl, do you remember when you first posted this fabulous room on RMS...I remember that all of us gals spent many a mornin' having coffee together in your sunroom!!! I said it then and it bears repeating...this room looks like it just stepped off the page of an interior design publication!!!

What coastal room would be complete without wicker furniture...I love yours!!! And I love the pretty red, green, and creamy yellow cushions (of course you know those are my colors!) Oh yes...I'm lovin' that red lobster pillow...cute, cute, cute!!! Well...I just love all of your color combinations...they're perfect!!! And that pretty bluish gray floor is so pretty...Len did good there, Girl!!! I think he redeemed himself from breaking the window with the weed eater! Hehe!!! MEN!!!

Now...I just adore your little boat table...it really is the cutest piece of coastal furniture that I've ever seen...well with exception of that beautiful desk that you just refinished with the carved sailboat in the front of it!!! I love the little boat tray that goes along with that table...that's darling and you have displayed it so beautifully on your pretty wicker coffee table! Ohhh...and I just adore that sailboat that you have on your boat table!!! Sis...all of your accessories are so beautiful...they're so interesting too!!! Like the diver's helmet and big netted glass ball!!! Love all of your lighthouses, old sailor figurines, and your mama's bathing suit...that's just awesome!!!

Fabulous...this room is just fabulous!!! Okay, think I'll just sit a spell and I don't mind if I do...have a cup of that coffee in the pretty lighthouse mug...Ohhh and a cookie or two!!! Honey, you did good with this sunroom...I adore it!!! I really do!!! You have such a talent for creating such gorgeous living spaces!!! Thanks so much for sharing it with all of us....

Love ya Sis...

I do love it! You have done it to perfection. I love the ocean and I would love to have a sun room. I use to have my office where I work all decorated with ocean decor. Now obviously Michigan does have a lot of lakes and my husband thinks it should be about the same but I just keep telling him it isn't the same!
Have a great day.

What a wonderful sun porch! And there are some great nautical antiques in it. You asked about the candle holder on my table - well, it is some sort of piece off of farm equipment. Guess it is part of a tiller, sod buster, or planter thingy!! My Dad, the farmer, is in heaven groaning because I don't know what it is. I never paid very good attention when we were out farming. I just tagged along because Mother was at work. Have a great week. Sally

Gloria I'm soooo jealous of your sunroom!! I want one sooooo bad, but now I think we are too old to be putting out that money to have one built, what do you think G?? Even a screened porch would make me soooo happy!! You have wonderful ocean treasures all around the room, I love the ocean too and don't get there as much as I'd like to. Loved seeing your awesome room again G, have a great week sweetie!! xoxoxo

I've gotta tell you, Gloria, I've never been one for a sea/beach motif, but it doesn't seem to matter with this room. I want to BE there with ya, sipping coffee or iced tea, or just plain water, gazing out at the beauty outside all those windows! If I remember correctly, even the ceiling is glass with a cool blue-light-up fan, right? Ahhhhhhhhhhh, bliss!

Oh Gloria, it was so nice of you to stop by and welcome me to blogland! I am already overwhelmed by the wonderful, sweet comments I have been receiving.

Although I haven't always been very diligent in leaving comments on everyone's blogs, I do visit the blogs of all the RMS people as often as I can, including yours. Yes, I do plan on stopping by Picket's, Rue's, Shelia's, Gollum's...the whole RMS gang...as soon as I can get the hang of this blogging thing a little better. I'm actually still trying to get my blog design tweaked, everyone listed on my blog roll etc. :)

I do have an upcoming post planned about my bathroom so I hope you will stop by again! :)
