Gloria, what a thrill to turn on the computer and what do I see, just you and your wonderful little towen and some of your fabulous antiques. I love them all. The tea room is just so cute and that first tea set is indeed stunning. I can afford it, but what a dream. I love all of your collections and your garden window is done up just perfectly. I love looking at all the old things. I think that's because I am so old that I remember some of them. Anyway being 39 and some months does have it's advantage. lol Hope you have a super day. Hugs, Marty
OH MY ... Great photos. You know how much I love this kind of 'stuff.' And of course I remember the Camel commercial ~ and all the other ones too!
Hi Gloria,
I see a new look to your blog!!!!
The tea shop would be so much fun to go to and I LOVE your kitchen and the Blue sink is AWESOME!!! I so enjoy peeks into your home.
Warmly,
Deb :)
Hi Sis...
Girl, are you snowed in yet? Ohh my gosh, is this winter ever going to end? Well...at least you have a fabulous place to be "hold up in"! Girlfriend, I could spend a "month of Sundays" just going through all of your pretties! Ohh...I'm sure that I would really look snoopy! Hehe! Well Darlin', I loved the photos of your "Mayberry"! What a quaint little town...I just know that I would love it! Especially with all those great shops! Hehe! Thank you so much for taking us on a tour through that sweet Tea Shop! Ohhh my goodness, I would definitely be spending some time there! Hehe! I loved those tea sets...weren't they exquisite? Simply gorgeous!!! And you're right about that antique cupboard where the pretties were displayed! Wouldn't that look great at my place...especially with that pretty olive green frenchy wallpaper! Oooh!!!
Now Sis, you know that I just adore your beautiful blue kitchen! Ohhh...and that fabulous french blue sink!!! Shoot, I wouldn't mind washing dishes at all in that pretty sink! Hehe! And...I love, love, LOVE your bay window at the sink!!! I loved getting to look at all of your antiques and pretties there! You know, this is the first time that I noticed those pretty shelves above your sink! I love how you did that crocheted lace in the glass doors...gorgeous, Sis!!! I'm so glad that you took us for a spin around your beautiful kitchen...it is always such a treat for me!!!
Well, we just got back from town. Went in for the weekly groceries and ate out! We got all new tires on the old Ford so our baby had new shoes! Hehe! Russell is out in the shop now...still tinkering on the Ford. But I think he has it ready to go! I'm getting so anxious! I'm counting down the days, Sis!!!
Love ya, Honey!
See ya soon...
Chari
I am loving the downtown area of your town because here in Chicago, everywhere is a downtown! I'd love to visit some of those small shops and antique stores. I am not much for the tea things.
Your kitchen counters remind me of mine. My daughters complain that they can't even make toast or a bowl of cereal because I have so much decorative stuff on them. Give me a surface and I will cover it! lol!!
Love your little cow and I'm glad you forgave Len (my father's name) and I love all of your memorabilia. Those were the good old days!
xoxo

DEAR GLORIA,
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN. EVEN THOUGH MY COLORS IN MY KITCHEN ARE RED,BLACK, AND PAINTED THAT POPULAR MUSTARD-LIKE YELLOW...THAT IS NOT THE NAME BUT IT IS A FRENCH COLOR...ANYWAY I LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL BLUE FRENCH SINK AND YOUR CURTAINS...SO PRETTY. IN MY OTHER HOUSE EVERYTHING WAS BLUE, WHITE, AND ACCENT COLORS OF YELLOW AND PINK BUT MY BEDROOM HAS ALWAYS BEEN LAVENDAR/PURPLE SINCE THE LAST 12 YEARS.
OF COURSE I HAVE CHEFS, SIGNS, ROOSTERS, COLLECTIABLE TINS, AND SO ONE OF YOUR THINGS THAT LIKED TO HAVE MADE MY HEART STOP WAS YOUR SUNSHINE BISCUIT MAN HOLDING THE LITTLE GLASS PLATE. HE IS QUITE CHARMING AND WOULD FIT IN QUITE WELL IN MY KITCHEN....LOL.
YOUR TOWN IS A DREAM. I LOVE THE TEA HOUSE AND I LOVE THAT TEA SET THAT IS FOR SALE.
THANK YOU FOR BEING SO GRACIOUS ALWAYS TO SHARE YOUR HOME AND LIFE.
LOVE AND HUGS
SIMPLY DEBBIE

You're right, Gloria. That town is charming. The tea pot on top of the sign beats all! I love your blue sink and all of the blues in your kitchen. And, I DO remember walking "a mile for a Camel." Happy Blue Monday.
Hi Gloria, It is my first time to visit and what a wonderfull post. Sutter Creek is all you said and more. We lived in the bay area for 9 years and visited your neck of the woods many times and charming cannot describe it. Mollye
Oh honey, that cute little lamp in the tea room.....I want one! It's just precious. Thanks so much for the stroll through your charming little town. It could pass for many 'round these parts.
I could just get lost in your kitchen. It's like a gift shop of it's own.
God bless ya'll and have a marvelous Monday!!!
Gloria I so enjoyed seeing your small town. Being a small town girl, I truly appreciate it.
I love your kitchen! I see lots of familiar things. We have similar pieces of blue and white.
Hope your week is wonderful.
Wow, where do I start, first let me say your town is fantastic, I wish my little town had preserved it's old time, simple beauty. But no, in the 60's the powers to be decided we needed to modernize and tore all the old balconies off and gave the whole town a face lift...the original town looked like a page out of the French Quarters with all the balconies made from wrought iron. Now they are slowing adding them back.
You tea house is beautiful. And your kitchen is a fairy land...I remember I'd walk a mile for a camel.
Thanks for showing us around your lovely kitchen
Molly
My kind of town! love it and your blue and yellow kitchen,2 of my favorite colors together. I do remember that camel commercial!
This little town of yours is so picturesque. Yes it does look like Mayberry. I would LOVE to live a town like yours. Your kitchen is so adorable. I really like the toile curtains. Everything I see is so cute. Love your blog. Will visit often. Happy Blue Monday.

Dear Gloria! Your little town looks so wonderful! I'll bet there's so many great stories from the olden days.
Now I'm in hog heaven seeing all your vintage pretties! And that sink! That blue sink - I adore it! I'm so glad you've shown it. I've been begging, well, you know, asking for you to show it! I've never seen a prettier blue sink. The color is just awesome. I remember you showing this on RMS and I just couldn't believe my eyes at seeing your wonderful sink. Hope you're doing well upon your mountain.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Gloria, you crack me up, girl! Now as for your garden window, I for one love it! I don't know how you keep everything so clean with so much stuff around, but apparently you do! Your kitchen just looks like such a nice place to spend some time. Either cooking, or enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. Looking at it I get a sense of comfort.
Your town is adorable! I've ALWAYS wanted to live in a small town, but alas, it's not meant to be.
I can say that I live in the oldest city in the United States though!

I used to love antiquing in Sutter Creek and going to Daffodil Hill every Spring.
I bet we brushed shoulders in one of those tiny shops.
I'm so glad I found you and am now a follower.
Talk to you soon ;)
