~Strolling along~

Today I had to go to town to get a new pair of Tennis shoes to wear to Vegas next week when I meet up with Chari at "Happy To Design" and was just strolling through the Antique shops....Any hoo I done did it again....Now for those that read my blog know I Love all things Victorian and Children's pieces really can grab my heart....I did a post about my Victorian high chair that made into a Rocker click here to see.... Oh but I have wanted one for 20 years that made into a Stroller and every time I find one it's so much $$$....But hold everything the Antique God's were looking after me today...I finally found my Old Stroller High chair YIPPEE!!! Did you Hear me SCREAM....And girls this is by far the best one I have ever seen....

Check out her wheels....Is this not darling...well I know to some it's nothing to get excited over...But to me this was a 20 year hunt...One more of my wants to check off my Antique list ha ha!!

Now she is made into a Youth Chair...

With the food tray...

The Cane seat...sighs

And with an Ugly doll in it ha ha!!! Do any of you remember these Dolls ?? they were called Attic Babies from many years ago....I made at least 3 dozen of these things and even sold them at one time ha ha!!! Oh before I forget I did get my New tennis shoes ...And I did save money there as I wear a size 4 in a Kid's shoe so they don't cost me as much as women's shoes...I know it sounds cute to have a small foot but you try buying High heels in that size ha ha!!!

I'm hooking up with Cindy at "My Romantic Home" so please go by and see the fun Show-n-Tell's today...Thanks Cindy for a fun day...

Until next time from my mountain top to yours,

Hugs and smiles Glria

gloria, you LUCKY gal to have found such a delightful wonder as that Victorian chair! It is a dream! I am much into Victorian things of late, a new passion for me and I can not seem to read enough info on that era. I seem to have fallen in love with Victorian lingerie pins, they are so sweet and diminutive! and thinking of which, whow, I do envy you such small feet, esp. when I have to walk around on size 10 feet. My grandmother always said that I have a "very big understanding" in life! :-) Enjoy that chair, it is a true treasure. (as for the doll, not all that ugly, not when I think about some of the teddy bears i used to make in my first years of creating artist-bears. THEY were ugly, until my creative side kicked in and I was able to find my own style and turn out some pretty decent bears over the years). have a good one, Debby

You are just too cute Gloria! I am so envious of your high chair! It is fabulous and I cannot believe how well it has been taken care of! Congratulations!

My grandmother had the same problem buying shoes and clothes and sometimes had to shop in the misses and youth departments because she was so tiny.

Hi Gloria-- Happy that you found your high chair/stroller - it is a beauty. We have one that makes into a stroller, too. We bought it at an antique store in the early 1970s to use when our kids were little; then, the grandkids have used it when they were at our house. Lots of applesauce in the grooves! It is now up in the attic waiting for our next generation. Enjoy yours. Sally

Hi Gloria,
I'm so happy for you that you found this charming treasure! I know 20 years is a l-o-n-n-n-n-g-g-g-g-g time, but it looks like your patience (and being smart about a dollar) paid off! Way to go, Gloria! Hope you and sweet Chari have the best time ever next week! Vegas may never be the same! ;)

Fondly,
Bill

Oh Gloria, I LOVE your wonderful high chair. It is perfect. I love that it makes a stroller and the cane seat is perfect. I have seen a couple of these, but none as nice as this and yes they were unreal expensive. What a wonderful find and treasure.
Thanks so much for your sweet comments about my clocks. I appreciate it. Also, I got the sweetest and most thoughtful card in the mail yesterday. Thank you so much. What a doll to think of me. Love you and hope you and Chari have a ball next week. Hugs, Marty

Hi Gloria! Oh, I'm loving this. Since all I have on my mind lately is baby ~ this is right down my alley! How precious this is. I've seen anything like it! At first I thought it looked like a baby wheel chair! :)
Man! What a tiny little footie you have! You may need to put some weights in those tiny little shoes so you won't blow away! :)
Have a wonderful time with Chari!
Be a sweetie,

Gloria, that is just the cutest thing! I also love toys, but you know that. Mine are not Victorian but no matter...did I not have enough toys as a child and I'm doing it now? You have to wonder sometimes...actually, I know what happened to me. I'm stuck at 7 years old. :)
Hugs and love,
Mona

Enjoy your Vegas trip!

Hi Gloria,
Trying to catch up on my blog reading. Ooooo I love this piece, I can see why you wanted one and I would have grabbed it up too. Love childrens chairs, rockers, buggies etc. They go well with my dolls plus are just so darn cute.

Hi sweetie, this is certainly a dandy. I've seen them, but not all together as this one is. So... you're going to Vegas..?? Girl I am sooooo jealous.. Cannot wait to hear all about it, I think this might call for a Phone Call so I can hear all about it instead of reading about it... I know you're going to have a great time..

That is so darling! I'm so glad you found it.

A trip to Vegas to meet up with Chari? Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun! Don't let Len get too carried away with those slot machines ~ and you know I mean buying them, not playin them! But then again you did get your stroller so I guess one or two more slots for Len would be fair.

You all have a great time!
Dawn
