~VICTORIAN TEA FOR TWO~

Well guys today is TableScapes Tuesday hosted by Susan at BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ Be sure and visit our Hostess to see all the GREAT Tablescapes today...lots of eye candy !!! I thought today I would have a Victorian tea party for two...I love Chintz and Pink depression glass so I tried to mix it all up for today... Now Girls I want you to know this is not a "FAKE" pecan pie...but it is a sugar free one.... almost didn't have it for the picture you see here as Len wanted to eat my props.... Now this serving knife is Pink depression glass and I just love what it says on it...go ahead and click on the picture and it will make it larger for you !!! OK are you done yet?? now see it says Season Greetings...I know this has nothing to do with Christmas...but just wanted to show you how pretty it is... Please feel free to click on any picture to enlarge...but I don't care to hear if you find dust...that is are not in the enlargement rules!!!

Now this Chintz Dinner ware I got some OVC TV...I got 2 sets for I would have a service of 8...How ever the tea cup and saucer are Chintz from 1950 it in the "Summertime" pattern....Chintz was made in England at the Royal Winton factory...It was sold at the five and dimes store at one time....and became very collectible in the early 90's even had Chintz clubs formed...and it got very expense to buy when it was the thing to have !!!

Now the Gold flatware was my Mama's and she used it only on the Holidays...and here's another Pink Depression glass bowl with a Chintz napkins in it holding my "FAKE " rolls... Oh and don't forget the not fake pecan pie...

Now this little Chintz tea Pot was just SCREAMING my name at the antique mall one day...I just love the tea pot on the top of it...is that not too cute??? The tea cup and saucer is in the Royalty pattern this is old Chintz... and see the sweet little tea bag holder...

These Silver salt and pepper were also my Mama's and just had to add the sweet Little tea pot picture frame.... after all this is all about tea today...

I think most of you know I make lamps and Victorian lamps Shades...well this Chintz tea pot just said to me make a lamp out of me...so I did...I didn't use candle on the table thought the tea pot lamp would be so cute instead... What do you think???

This sugar and cream are also in the Summertime pattern and also old Chintz...

Well girls I hope you enjoyed my Chintz Victorian Tea party... And Len thanks you for not eating his pie!!!
WOW!!! I could have used all of this for PINK Saturday ....but hey !! Pink is one of my favorite colors so I do have allot of it...now please do your self a BIG favor and visit all the gals Tablescapes today....Thank you Susan your being the great Southern hostess that you are...

Hope all of you have a Great and Blessed day....Hugs and smiles Gloria

Well, as you found out yesterday, I love tea and this looks like just what the Doctor ordered.
BTW, Thanksgiving is a "season" also, at least in my book.
I tell my guest that I don't mind if they write their name in the dust they find, just be kind and don't put the date. Anyone else remember writing on dusty car windows?
Adore your teapot picture frame, the teapot, and the lamp you made is really something special.

Love all of the chintz. I especially like it paired with the pink depression glass. By the time I got interested in the chintz dishes, they were sky-high in price. So, I just admire from afar. Sally

GM Dear friend.. thanks so much for swinging by.. I can "always" count on you can't I? Yep threw it together literally, and I do believe it shows, but so wanted to participate this week..lol I don't believe there are any paper plates and matching solo cups here my dear. This is outstanding.. I love all this chintz. And yes, it's quite pricey to buy now. I loved the way you added things that belonged to your mother. Those are what memories are made of. hugs ~lynne~

Gloria thats so funny that you made the pies and sold them too! That was my very first craft I sold to shops, way before I started sewing! I took a couple pies to a very beautiful prim shop, well known too , she was in some magazines, anyway I took a couple pies wanting her to just buy them but instead she gave me an order for about 30 pies!! You shoulda seen me doing all those, I was so flustered and rushed, I know some of them didn't get fully baked and hardened right LOL!! Yes and painting those berries, But I didn't use popcorn in mine, I just filled the old pie tins I would pick up at fleamarkets with the salt dough balls then paint them after it was baked. Wow that was about 20 some years ago! OK Gloria I'll do a story on my table along with my kitchen post, I'll do that soon, TTYL!! xoxoox

Wow Gloria, I love your chintz! Love the pink depression glass too, but I really love chintz! Did you hot glue the teapot lid to the side of the pot? I have a hydrangea teapot that would make an awesome lamp, but didn't know if hot glue would hold it. :0} Diane

Hi Gloria, I think that book was "kind of hot". I read it a long time ago. I have a stack of books on the desk to find new homes for & grabbed the top one for my bookworm award.

Did you take any pictures of the wedding shoe lamp??? I'd love to see it! :0} Diane

Morning, Gloria! I'm so sorry you're feeling bad! I hope you'll get better as the day goes on. If I were closer, I'd bring you some potato soup. I used to make that when my kids were sick!

Hey Happy,
I was over talking to Gollum and she informed me that you have terrier' yorkiees. I want to get
a small dog like the one that Gollum has but I am concern that
it could be a problem with my grandkids. They are around dogs, but they do not own one.
