~GINGERBREAD KITCHEN ~

Hey Gals Sorry I wasn't around much today ...but I have been busy trying to get my Gingerbread Kitchen done...Now is this not the sweetest thing ?? I got this from Lynne's shop http://lynnesgiftsfromtheheart.blogspot.com/ Please if you have not been to her blog pay her a visit... she is the sweetest gal ...I love her more than my luggage and she is also Decorator 101 on Rate My Space...And Ladies she got from of the most neatest things for Christmas and all year around for your home... Now this you are probably thinking what the hey is this?? right well its a 1840 Regina Victorian Music box tree stand... Your tree sit on top of it and it spins the tree around as it plays music..these are the disc that it plays...

This is the front of it...I put it on my Kitchen table every year...

Just another shot of the front...with my little Gingerbread houses...

Now this is my Gingerbread tree...My Granddaughter Candace started this collection about 10 years ago for me....and I do my Gingerbread tree every year now..

Is this not the Sweetest Cake Stand !!! I found this last Month at HOME GOODS and it just SCREAMED my name..I just loved the little Elf Feet on it...and my dome fits it real good...

This is just a corner in my kitchen... I always use place mats at Christmas time on my counters and those Glass containers are DAD"S cookies container that came out of a general store I keep Pudding and Jello in them... the sweet tea pot also from my Candace.

This is my Kitchen sink...and Yes I have a BLUE sink...but I have a blue and White Kitchen and love Blue so why not...this is my garden window...the little dough boy Len got me last Christmas its a SUNSHINE Biscuits boy and came from ca. 1940 general store....

This is a De Laval Cream cabinet that held parts one time for a Cream Separator this sits at the end of my Bean Counter...also a few Butter Churns and Old coffee grinder...

Now this is my OLD New stove...looks like an old one..but it has a self clean oven, all electric it an "Elmira " came from Canada and made to look like an 1850 stove...

I only show part of the kitchen with this post will show you the rest of it this week...I am still trying to finish it all up.. If you would like to see it all go to my spaces on RATE MY SPACE and I also am Happy to be on there...

Thanks for stopping by....and seeing just some of my little men!!! And please sign my Guest book for me.. Thanks

Hope you have a great and safe day hugs and smiles, Gloria

I think that Gingerbread boys are the sweetest thing around at Christmas. I make the cookies every year just to use as decorations. This year I had my Dad make a large cutter for me out of tin because I looked everywhere for one and could not find it. Besides they smell like Christmas, too. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving long weekend! ~ Robyn

Love Ya,

Glad to see Elsie (my Mother's name) is still in your window. I like the tree and Santa for the season instead of that adorable lamp.
Your decorations are all "on the money".
I look forward to further posts of this beautiful kitchen, especially regarding your bean counter/island.

It all works together so well. And little Lady, I was also amazed at your "tag" answers. Whoo hoo - a pilot?! and an owner of an ostrich/emu farm!? How was that? Do you have any pictures from those days? if you do you must post about it! Are they mean? Well, I am mighty impressed! Your stove is to die for. I've been so please with those following my blog. I find that you have so many things that I love too. I'm barely finding the time to learn to love my talents and actually find the things that I love. This stove is one of them. I've always wanted, adored and wished I had one. My family isn't much into this kind of things, so I only wish, but, it's fun to share your life and see how much we are alike. I will follow aften. You are a dear and I do appreciate you visiting my blog. It means much!

That is so cute that you have all of that gingerbread in the kitchen!
I used PhotoShop and application to cut and paste all of my awards together to get them nice and tidy. I know there is something out there that will do it for you, have seen it on other blogs but don't know what website to use. You might ask Frenchie. I think she has done it to her awards.

Hi Gloria :)

Your kitchen is looking so Christmas-y! I love it :)

That 1800s tree spinner is wonderful! My grandmother Bonnie had a 1950s one that had a light show with it LOL I didn't know they had anything like that before that time.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

rue

Gloria first off let me say I will be praying for God to bless your grandson and keep him safe and for a speedy return home to his family, I know how you feel about this war sweetie, me too! Now 2nd, G please don't stress yourself with decorating every inch of your home, I don't do nearly as much as I used to and its just easier! Remember this isn't RMS, we are gonna love what you get done, so be kind to yourself! What made Dot get so lucky to have a sweetie like Bill who helps her decorate! LOL!! I do it all myself, except because i almost gashed my finger off getting the tree outta the box, Butch carried it up the steps for me! Relax sweetie and watch some football! love ya G!! xoxoxo

I keep forgetting to thank you for the super kind things that you say about my granddaughter! She is my pride and joy and you are always so sweet to comment. I appreciate it but I know I probably do show her too much, now that I'm private though I don't worry so much about it! Thanks again, and once again, I love your treasures. I could spend a month looking at your house but I'm sure I'd still not see it all!!

Gloria, thank you so much for the ornament idea. We recently bought 35 acres of land which has lots of trees and pine cones!! My only problem is that I have to mail all 120 plus ornamments and am not sure about mailing- but these would be great gifts for those friends near by!!!I did get my ornaments finished while working at the little antique mall where I have a booth. It was cold and icy and so slow today- which is bad for sales but good for getting lots of things done!!!

blessings!

Hey Gloria,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a sweet comment about my new hutch in my dining room. I wll probably leave it the natural wood it is now instead of repainting it. It is so tempting though when you see the beautiful pieces out there in blogland that some of these very talented women refinish.
I appreciate you stopping by and welcome getting to know you as a new friend!

Hey you sweet thing...I love you so Gloria...I needed those prayers today..it has been rough..the funeral was today...I thought I'd just post to try and occupy my mind but I cry while I am posting...girl she was only a year older than me...we had some times together...but about a year ago she had some sort of stroke and the doctors only gave her about 5 months to live...said her brain would begin to shrink...she started having seizures..lost all memory and all ability to even talk..I remember seeing her a couple of months ago and I ran to her and hugged her and when I looked into her eyes I knew she had forgotten me...oh girl...the older I get the harder losing a loved one is on me...thanks for coming by sweetie & double thanks for calling my name.

Hi Gloria:

I am a Gingerbread collector too. I live in a 100 year old historic home in the city of Albany, OR. Presently, I probably have 10 years worth of gingerbread items that I have been collecting and they are displayed in my family room. I am a 63 year old grandmother getting ready to downsize and quit work. My home will go on the market this next week. Are you, or anyone you know, interested in buying an entire gingerbread collection? I love my collection and it is difficult to part with, and would love to find someone else who would love these items as well as I do and have.

I loved your blog. You are so talented and creative. And, it looks like you are very busy too. It was so wonderful to visit your blog. It cheered me up and made me smile. It was a good end to a anxious week-end for me.

May God bless you!!

I loved the music too. Especially the "More than Anything" song.

Hi Gloria....

Oh my goodness..........you have one of the nicest collections of wonderful old antiques I've ever seen..... Just wonderful. My Mum was a "Modern Millie" too.... When I was just a young newlywed I spent hours in the attic rummaging through things. My dad used to tell me I should bring a moving van. I still have lots of those old things.

Now, that's the MOST wonderful old/new stove. I would adore having one like it.

Big hugs,
Spencer
