~Tea Cups and Candace~

Don't you love Tea rooms...I know I sure do...Just to spend a fun day with my lady friends or daughters at them is really a BIG treat for me...We have a Beautiful Tea room in Sutter Creek, Ca. At one time this building was a saloon durning the Gold rush days...

I"m having my Grand daughter Candace's baby shower here on Aug 7th. we have about 25 of her special friends and ladies from our family attending this affair...

I was going to have her shower here at my house...But how much fun it will be for the ladies to be treated to English tea and scones...and how much better it will be for me not to cook and clean up afterwards ha ha!! Mama always said the best way to have a party is make reservations....

Their food is just YUMMY!! and the gals that own it make you feel so special and pampered.

I have been busy trying to make up tea pot tassels for all the ladies....I just love these Mary Engelbreit tea pots....

Now in between trying to get all the tassels made...I have been busy with the Mama to be...I have to take her twice a week to the hospital to have a NST done with is a None stress test...which is suppose to take only an hour. But each Tuesday and Friday she has contractions so they give her a shot and end up keeping her for about 4 hours before we can go home...I also take her to the Doctor each week, do her food shopping, laundry and house work so that's the reason I'm not around blog land as much as I would like to be...She also has gestational diabetes which should go away once Landen is born...Her due date is Sept 27th...but we all know she won't hold out that long...

She's very bored just being at home on bed rest...But told her once Landen is born she'll never utter those words again ha ha!! Can I hear an AMEN from all the mothers out here ha ha!!

Boy I would l♥ve to have a day to be bored!!

Thanks for all of your prayers for my little family...you have no clue how much they have meant to us...You guys are the best...A BIG ole cyber hug to each of you...

Until next time from my mountain to yours,

~Friendship flower and Tea~

Hello Girls, Today I want to have Tea with you and share my Kelly Friendship flower with you...I'm joining Lady Katherine for Tea Time Tuesday Thanks Katherine....

it's been along time since I have done Sally's Blue Monday...Please take the time to go by her blog and see all the great Blueness waiting you today...Thanks Sally...

Oh...Summer don't you love it..I just love to see all my flowers in bloom it's like God is speaking to me each day..." Enjoy the beauty I have created for you" Please have a scones and a sip of tea....And take time to smell the flowers.... Remember Life is like a roll of toilet paper the closer it gets to the end the faster it goes...

For the 30 + years I have been up on my mountain I have bought many Hydrangea's and each and every one of them went to flower heaven...

8 years ago I met a lady named Kelly and she had the most beautiful Hydrangea's I had ever seen...She gave me a pair of clipper's and told me to cut all I wanted of them....

My little car was loaded with them...She also told me to put one of the stems in water and it would grow...Ok I'll try anything so I did...And this is my Hydrangea's bush that I grew from one little stem and each year it gets bigger and more beautiful...

Can you tell I love barn bird houses ha ha!!

Is it not Beautiful....Kelly has pasted on now but I still have this wonderful sweet reminder of her each summer that she and God gave to me to enjoy....

To me this flower is my Kelly Friendship flower...

May all of you have a GREAT day....

Until next time from my mountain to yours,

Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

ps: this was a pink Hydrangea...I just added old nails to the soil to turn it Blue...

~Table Love~

Good Morning girls, I Know I have been MIA for awhile ha ha!! But I did promise you I would show you what I got at the Second Sunday Swap meet....It's a French coffee table from ca. 1930 For those that come by my blog all the time know I just LOVE wood craved furniture...I think that's why I love Antique pieces the workmanship and pride that went into creating was so great many years ago...Just look at her sexy legs....

You will notice no two leaves are alike as it's all hand craved....this makes my old heart sing when I find pieces like these...

Look at the mirror on top...lots of fading, Love that!!

I love it sitting next to my French leather sofa...

Now this is the reason I have been MIA...I have been taking care of my Granddaugther Candace...She's now 30 weeks and 1 day and were hoping she can hold out for 6 more weeks until Landen James is born...Right now she is on moderate bed rest and can only stand for no more than 15 minutes so being the GREAT granny that I am I have been pulling double duty taking care of her house, laundry, food shopping, Doctors appointments, etc.
I have missed all of you here in bloggerville...But Family does come first...I'm so looking forward to having Landen James born healthy...God has just Blessed my family so much...Thanks for understanding why I have not been by...Love you guys..
Until next time from my mountain to yours,

~Party Under Glass~

Well here it is the day we all wait for in Blogger ville Marty's At "A Stroll Thru Life" cloche party...Now I have not been home much this past few weeks to play in the house...As many of you that follow my silly blog know I have been over at my Granddaughter Candace's house taking care of her...So I don't really have allot to offer right now...But I have been trying to introduce a new color into my Blue/White kitchen....RED!! And of course my kitchen would not be complete without a cloche or two....See those sweet little child's fork and spoon in the cloche...Well I just got those the other day at the swap meet...So when Landen James comes to GG's house he got his own silver ware ha ha!! ( GG is what my Great Grand babies call me...stands for what else Great Grandma )

This sweet little Fiesta tomato red creamer was my mama's love it...Loved my Mama more sighs...My Mama also made the doily...double sighs...

Now dang if I was BJ at "Sweet Nothing" I would have at least tossed out a RED Strawberry for you to eat ha ha!! if you have not been by her blog go pay her a visit...she's a hoot and has the best stuff to eat...Love this gal...Another one in blogger ville that made me want to add RED to my kitchen is sweet Mona at " Wsprsweetly of Cottages" don't you love her blog name...Pay her a visit she's just GREAT !!!

I know this is not a cloche...but Marty did say anything goes for a cloche here...

I think I'm liking this Red....But if I don't have a daughter that will take it home....Thanks Marty again for this fun day...it's one of my favorite party's besides your TTT....Please go by and see all the other today showing some GREAT cloche's...

Now on Candace I took her to the Doctor on Tuesday...Baby's heart sounds real strong and the Dr. said if she can make it until 32 weeks maybe he would let her go back to work part time...But at only 29 weeks he still wants her on bed rest and she can only be on her feet no more than 15 minutes at a time...The survival rate is real good at 29 weeks but allot of babies born than soon have to stay on a respiratory for a few months and there is also the soft spot in the head to worry about...So I'll be doing double duty at her house and mine until we can be sure that Landen James will be born healthy and safe....I do have to admit I just love spending the time with Candace....Since the date she was born and I cut her cord I have always been there for her and it's always been my greatest joy in life....

Thank you all again for the prayers for my little family...they do mean the world to us...May all of you have a GREAT weekend...I'm sending each of you a BIG OLE cyber hug..Can you feel it ha ha!!

Also had to show you the latest Picture of Kyra....She's my Great Grand Daughter that has had 2 open heart surgeries before she was 2 weeks old...She's a girl after my own heart just look at the money this little one have ha ha!! I hope she robbed her Daddy of it...All these babies just make me " Happy To Be"

Until next time from my mountain to yours,
Hugs and Smiles Gl♥ria

~Under the Freeway~

I just love going to Sacramento Antique Faire...I call it Second Sunday because that's the only way I can remember when it is....This event is held each month and it's under the freeway...and you just never know what your find there...

Why just look at soon as I got there I ran into Dawn from a "Cottage State of Mind" Isn't she lovely...Now I knew she was going to be there but I didn't know until 6am I was going to be there...
Len had mentioned on Saturday night about going...But I kept saying it's so hot out and I can't handle this heat...But Len is one stubborn Indian and kept bugging me about if we leave early enough we could go...Now this is the man that don't get out of bed until 10 AM each day telling me if we leave EARLY!! ha ha!!

So off we went...Dawn was there with her soon to be Sister in-law Tracy...These 2 our also great junkin friends...We visited for about 20 minutes and then off we went our separate ways...Hey !! we were both on a mission to find the hidden treasure that lied under the freeway...

Len loved this old diving helmet...but at $1200.00 he just walked away

Sea shells and moss...Not my thing so I walked away...

I did love this sweet little rocking horse...I could just picture my new almost Great grand baby Landen James enjoying this...sighs

Loved these sweet chairs and they were only $15.00 with the flowers...Not bad at all...I wanted to bring one of them home...Until Len reminds me that I had a barn full of old chairs I still have not done a thing with...I could slap him silly when he does that ha ha!!

Loved this Baby bath tub...Sweet I could just picture this with flowers in it....

Love the Green canisters...Oh girls I need a Green kitchen now ha ha!!!

Love these old signs...the one that says Pine Grove that's where my Granddaughter lives...

Len!! Back away from the slot machines...Did I tell you this man loves old slot machines...He now has 15 of them...why can't he collect stamps or coins...I keep telling him with him being Native American I'm going to open a casino here and make some money if he don't stop with the slots...

Loved the old Edison horn...But I already have one...

Loved this dresser...but loved seeing Len in the mirror looking like a deer caught in the headlights...I can just tell he was happy this piece was sold...

Loved this sweet little pedal fire truck...

Beautiful old cream desk and chair...

Oh and this "Tiny Tears " doll just brought back so many fond memories to me...As this was the only doll I ever had as a kid and I just loved her to death....sighs! But she was $350.00 with the case and clothes...I think my mama bought mine for $10.00 back in 1951 and that was allot of money then...I can still remember how much I wanted this doll so when Santa Claus gave her to me I just cherished it...

Beautiful old stain glass windows...

Dress forms...I know allot of you gals love these things...The one looks like she had too much to drink and spilled it on herself...ha ha!!

Hope you enjoyed the under the Freeway today...and Yes I did get stuff...Now really you know I would not come home empty handed...ha ha!! As soon as I get it out of the 4 runner I will show it to you...I know , I know I said with my last purchase of the "Nuts and Bolt Cabinet" I had spend my Antique budget for the year but now I'm digging into my pedicure budget for the year ha ha!! Hey it works for me...Why I saved Len so much money yesterday I can buy cheap nail polish and do my own toes...

May all of you have a GREAT day...I have to get to Candace's house and help her now with cooking and laundry...She's getting so bored just sitting around and waiting for Landen James to be born...But we have been working on things for her upcoming baby shower in Aug...Thank you once again for all your prayers for her and Landen James...Your the best my friends...I really don't know what I would do without my support system in blog land...Can you love people that you have never met?? You bet you can!! Love ya Guys...

Until next time from my mountain to yours,

Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
