~PAR-TY TIME~

Well guys today the day we have all been waiting for in the wonderful world of Blogging....It's Marty's " A Stroll Thur life " Fall cloche's party...don't you just love a fun party...Thanks Marty for giving us another fun day...

But first before the party begins I would like to remember all of those that lost their lives on 9-11 and what a tragic thing that happen to our nation...I have my colors flying today in Remembrance hope you do also.... God Bless our nation...

Now this cloche's my Daughter Gina just brought me...She found it in a cupboard at the new apartment she just rented the former tenants just left...Lucky me!!

My Fattest cloche's on my coffee table

one on my kitchen table...just love the gourd I found at Ross last month....

Oh and the sweet cupcake cloche's that Chari at "Happy to Design" send me for my BD...

One in my office with my first Ostrich's egg from our farm under it....that's an Emu egg on the other side of it also from our farm...

Now this is not a cloche's but a dome cover that goes on top of my Antique Microscope in my office...

Cake dome in kitchen with some fall plates under it...

Apothecary jar in kitchen with some little pumpkins in it....

Littlest cloche's in my kitchen with some candy corn candles in it...this sits on my Antique stove...

Now on to the fun part....

I would like to show all of you how to make a lighted heated Potpourri Holder...These are so cute to sit out even at Christmas time and Guys the smells are wonderful from them...These make great gifts at Christmas time for family and friends...and so easy and inexpensive..
Supplies needed:

canning jar or large jar
Small doily...these I get from Dollar tree
Christmas tree lights a string of 25 works the best
rubber band
raffia or ribbon
Potpourri- also from Dollar tree
Clove or Cinnamon oil

Pour some Potpourri in the bottom of the jar...My lovely assistant Candace is making this one for me...We added some mini pumpkins to the bottom here...Start putting in your lights now and add more Potpourri....

Adding more mini pumpkins....

Now this is how it should look after you get all the lights in it...of course be sure and leave the plug out so you can plug it in ha ha!!

Then take your doily and rubber band and put it on the top of the jar....This you can also use fabric for instead of a doily...

Then take your raffia or ribbon and tie it around covering up the rubber band...At Christmas I like to use ribbon on these and maybe hang a little oranament down from the ribbon and of course Christmas Potpourri and little pine cones.. Christmas bells etc...just let your imagination go wild...

Here we added some Cinnamon sticks to the raffia...Plug it in guys and you also have a nite lite that smells wonderful...I have made little ones for my bathroom just to sit out durning the holidays...Like I said they make wonderful gifts...Hope I didn't bore you with yet another one of my creations...Total cost is about $3.00 each to make...
Now Please go by and see all the others doing the Par-ty today..I'm heading that way myself...May all of you have a Great weekend and I'll see you all on Monday for Met Monday...

Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

ps: some body slap me silly next time I try and do 2 meme's in less that 24 hours...Now to all that left comments on TT I will get back to you this weekend...I'm sorry what can I say??? I'm running as fast as I can...☺

Wow. What a great idea for the lighted jar! Love all the cloches and REALLY like the one covering the microscope!!! That's too cool.

And thank you for the reminder of 9-11. I will fly my flag in the morning. But I would like to "borrow" your idea of playing Alan Jackson's song. I think a lot of us will be listening to it tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend!!! From one fellow "shaker " to another! :) HA!

fun fun fun here! I have always loved the lights in a jar. At Christmas one year I was desperate to decorate my kitchen and threw some Christmas lights and fresh holly in this huge glass jar I have on the counter top. Don't you know that is the one thing everyone commented on that Christmas Day! Happy Weekend. xo Lynn

Hi Gloria! What a great collection, so many unique things like the egg and the microscope! I just love the centerpiece with the twig wreath and the gourd with the cut-out leaf pattern - so pretty! Your potpourri jar idea is cool - will have to try that out. Have a great weekend!

Gloria, what a fabulous post! Your cloches are all so pretty, and then to get a tutorial on that fabulous potpourri holder just leaves me sitting with my mouth open at your creativity! I can't believe Gina found that great cloche that someone left behind. I've decided my cloches are too skinny, and some of yours look much wider at the bottom than mine are. Love seeing your fat little birdie from Lynne's in the cloche (can't remember your birdie's name). How great that your microscope has that protective glass on it instead of having to keep it hidden away to keep dust off of it. I'm tellin' ya, this was just a great post. laurie
