Update on mom

Hi all,I just got back from the hospital and mom is doing so much better. She is out of ICU and in her own room yeah!!!!!! My mom is such a strong lady and she is my hero what a few days she has been through and she just hangs in their like such a trooper,I was able to talk to her and she even ate a little bit of pudding and a few bites of dinner. If anyone would like to send flowers she is in room 492 at Sutter General hospital in Sacramento. She will probably be home with hope by Monday she is well aware of everyone that has prayed and sends there well wishes as I let her know.I would give her about a month to respond to any e-mails or post that you might send.Until then keep her in your thoughts and prayers,All my regards Dawna

I have been away from blogland. I am glad, in a way, that I came late, or I would have worried too much! Seems the Good Lord has everything under control, my friend! My prayers are with you...

So glad to hear that Gloria is doing well. Keep reminding her to cough and deep breathe so she keeps her lungs clear. i am sure they gave her some sort of heart pillow to "splint" her chest so it doesn't hurt as much. She needs to keep taking her pain pills so she can be mobile. Immobility will lead to blood clots so she needs to get up and walk. Will she be going to a Rehab unit or home? I work in a Rehab unit. I am sure she will also need to go to Cardiac Rehab after she heals a bit more but it is important that she go to cardiac rehab.
Keeping all of your family in my prayers!!

Hugs,
Debbie

Hi Dawna...

Ohhh...this is the MOST WONDERFUL news ever, Sweetie!!! I have been on pins and needles since we talked. I'm just very relieved to hear that she is doing well! Of course, I do realize that she has a long road of recovery ahead of her, but like you said, your sweet mama is one very strong woman! SHE IS MY HERO TOO!!! She is sooo dear to me and I love her sooo much! She is my dearest and closest friend! I can't tell you how agonized I have been...thinking of her having to go through all of this. I am praying like never before...that the Lord will minister to ALL of her needs and give her a speedy and full recovery!!! I really do feel helpless...sitting clear out here in Colorado. I sooo wished that I were there! I'm so happy that you are there for your mama, Dawna! She really does need you and will continue to need you for awhile. How are you doing? I know that you have had surgery recently too. I'm praying for you and Lenny as well, honey! Please give your mama big kisses for me and let her know that I'm asking about her and praying!!! I sure do appreciate that you are keeping us updated here on your mama's blog. She has sooo many friends that care for her and love her! I can't wait to be able to talk to her personally but I will give her a few days before calling. Love all of you sooo much!

Dawna, please keep an eye on Len too...pleasssse! I know that he doesn't always take the best care of himself and I worry about him too! I gave him a "talkin' to" on the phone yesterday about watching what he eats and his blood sugar! Honey, I sure do appreciate you...taking such good care of my dear friends!!!

Love ya,
Chari

Dawna, thanks for keeping us posted. I'm sooooooo glad she's better!

Is she going to her home or home with one of you? Or do you all know yet? I'm hoping I still have her home address as I'd like to send her a card. I'm afraid if I sent it to the hospital, she will leave before it gets there.

Again, thanks for updating us. Please give her a big hug for me and tell her we love her!

XO,

Sheila

Oh dear! I just found out about what is going on. Bless her heart! Please give her my love and and best wishes. The last I heard she was just having dizzy spells and the doctors thought she was having mini strokes...
I tried to sooth her by saying they told me that older people often have that happen..and now this. I had NO idea.
Thank you for keeping us posted...
