~Nesting Finds~

Hello guys, Well this week's finds are pretty slim again...

But I did get a new pedestal this one came from a library in Utah and at one time held a big directory...Of course I had to put a bust on it ha ha!! this piece was made in England ca. 1900 This I found at a local antique store for $150.00 Don't know where I'm going to put it yet so for now it lives on my fireplace hearth...
You see that French fire screen another find 3 years ago $35.00 Antique store going out of business
Found me a terrarium for $10.00 and Len found a little hummingbird nest last year with the eggs in our plum tree so I added it inside to protect it the quail eggs are also from our property
I shopped my barn and found the olden mirror and sat everything on top of it..A corner fireplace is really hard to decorate and have balance with it...
Also got me another Plateau mirror $13.00..I love adding these to tables and also they bring in so much needed light up on my mountain..Did I ever tell you I live in a cave ha ha!!

Found this sweet little garden cherub at Marshall's wasn't going to buy a thing that day..But when it screams your name and even knows yours Social Security number you have to have it..The lamp behind it I also got from Penney's online shopping Oh Yes!! I shop online all the time..Do you guys do that?? I would love to know..

Got this Victorian mirror from EBay..Also don't know where I'll put it..Won at $15.00 Hey Shelia here's half a "Bathroom Diva" shot for you ha ha!!

Now This crown Chandy I also won on EBay $119.00 it's very heavy even if it is tiny ca. 1900 and from France Yes it even came from France it costed me almost as much for shipping as the piece did ..It's all leaded crystal..I still have crystals to hang on it but haven't had time to do it yet..Hey I'm Landen sitting remember..I had Len just hold it for me to get a pic of it
OK *winks* aka Vanna at Delusions of Grandeur these are the pics I promise you..If you guys have not been by Vanna blog do yourself a huge favor and go check out the BEST French Antiques you ever laid eyes are..I just drool big time at her beautiful home!! In fact when my house grows up it's going to look like hers ha ha!!
But this have to be the BEST find of the week FREE!! While Len was at the dump the other day a guy was throwing this out because it would not sit level..Well Len took his grinder to the bottom and I now have a new concrete pedestal...I can't believe what some peeps will toss out I think I'll put a plant on it and leave it in my sun room..Well guys that's my Nesting finds for this week..Thanks for coming by my mountain top and seeing me..
I'm joining Courtney at " French Country Cottage"
and my sweet Laurie at " Bargain Hunting and Chatting" She steals alot and sleeps with her BOSS but I love her just the same!!
Until next time from my mountain to yours,
Hugs and smiles Gloria
PS..It's snowing once again up here..just when you think spring has come it's gone again...

Hi Sweet Sis...

Ohhh my gosh, Sis...you hit the "mother-lode" of fabulous treasures this week! Wished you could have heard all my ooohs and aaahs! I swear my face was the ugliest shade of green too! Hehe! You know I love ya, dear friend and I'm sooo happy for you! You really did find some fabulous things this week! First of all, I love...LOVE both of your pedestals!!! I think your little french girl looks fabulous sitting atop the wooden pedestal! It's sooo pretty! And good Lord...can you believe some of the treasures that people just throw away??? Lenny did GOOD...real GOOD!!! Bringing that pretty concrete pedestal home! When ya'll get here, I think I will send him to my dump! Do you think he could bring me one home too! Hehe! I think it'll look beautiful in your sunroom, Sis!

Ohh my...I just adore your french crown chandelier! Sis...it's soooo GORGEOUS!!! I have never seen a chandy made with a crown...totally awesome! Where do you think you'll hang it? Love your new mirror pedestal too! I think I need some of those. I have kept an eye out but all that I have seen is out of my price range. Sis, you got a "steal-of-a-deal" on that! All of your new vignettes just look sooo pretty! You know what...I have "eyed" that very same lamp at Penneys...I just love it! And...it really does look perfect with your decor! Love, love, LOVE the tall Victorian mirror! It's perfect for your fabulous home as well, Sis! Girl, you and Vanna find the bestest things!!!

Well Darlin', I sooo enjoyed getting a peek at all of your new pretties today! Thanks for sharing them with us! It is always such a treat!!! So sorry to hear about you guys getting more snow! There's one thing for sure...ya'll won't be short on moisture for awhile! Hehe! I just took a peek at your pretty spring daffodil post! Hopefully all of those (hundreds) of bulbs are coming up yet. At least, I would think that the snow wouldn't be too good for them? When they bloom...your place is going to look gorgeous, Sis!!! I'm just taking a bit of break right now. Russ is doing some work over at our rental. Need to start dinner I guess. I have been busy, busy cleaning and organizing. Eeeks!

Take care sweet friend!
Love ya,
Chari

Okay, my favorite is the first pedestal. That is SO neat, and I think it's one of the neatest ones I've seen. Great find! You always show us neat stuff.

Glad all is well in your world and that you are having fun with Landon.

Snowing .... sigh. Perfect way to spend the day. I know, I know - if I lived in it everyone says my attitude would change. I don't see how and I don't know if I will ever get to find out - but I can dream! I love the rain and the snow. All of it.

Gloria how're you feeling girlfriend? Did you make it to the doc? A pulled muscle in your neck? That darling little Landon must a been a rocking and rolling! You poor thing! We picked up some kind of bug out thrifting on Friday and we've both been feeling like poo too. *sighs* This gettin' old stuff isn't for the faint of heart is it?
And good eye girlfriend! That is an LV tennis racquet cover from the 1970's. M put it on his racquet ball racquet so it could hang on the bookcase. If you happen to see one in your shopping travels for $100 or so pick it up because LV doesn't make them anymore *winks*
Well I sure hope you're feeling better Gloria. Talk to you soon! Vanna
