~ Under my Stairs~

Well guys , here we finally are into spring..On Friday we got snow and within a day we had over a foot and half..Also lost our power..So I just played under my stairs ha ha!!
Len got me this Angle statue when I first met him..said it reminds him of me ha ha!! what was that man smokin??

This is a very small space under my stairs and many know that come by here I can't stand to see a Naked wall or floor space...
my antique Bridge supports that I found like 30 years ago and put on each side of my door frame..

I found these at a shop in Amador city, they were very rusty..I had them sandblasted and powder coated they have hung in the last 2 homes I owned..Wally Made the huge bolts for them to hang them with..That man could made everything..I still say not one thing hanging in my house will ever fall down..

Oh and I finally got my Lion's head lamp that I ordered from EBay..and it's complete..Remember me telling you about getting one with a broken head and another one with a broken tooth??
Now don't know if I like it or not..It might be going home with my daughter...

Had to show you my favorite easel..it's a Art Nouvean piece

Love the pretty lady on it..Also got this piece from the same guy in Amador City..like 25 years ago..He had some of the best stuff..I loved going to his home and shop..

But I had this piece just sitting until I just find just the right Antique Photo album to display on it..

I love the heavy clasp on this green velvet one..I told you I collect these albums but Will only buy them in good condition..

This is the First day of spring on my mountain top ha ha!!
Len and I planted over 1000 Daff's bulbs in Oct and we couldn't wait to see them come spring time..Well last week they were coming up and now they buried under snow..We'll be lucky to see a one this year ..Even our Famous Daffodil Hill was suppose to open this past weekend...
Just ramblings from an old lady struck in the snow on a mountain ha ha!! Hope all of you have a GREAT day..Until next time from my mountain to yours,
Hugs and smiles Gloria

Hi Gloria,
We had the worst rain and wind storm all weekend long. The wind was whipping so hard against our flag pole, Gary had to run out in the rain and take it down...poor guy.
Love your antique bridge supports and the angle statue is beautiful!
I would love to meet up with you this summer or spring for some shopping..I seldom leave home without Gary either LOL. I drive but he does all the long distance drives, lets open it to all who want to join us, that would be so much fun and the guys can carry all our shopping bags, LOL.....
Have a sweet day and hugs,Elizabeth

I am sure my home town Nevada City, California got snow also. I love all the things you shared with us on this post. Great pictures. Have a blessed day. Madeline

I hope your snow melts soon...nobody need that right now. We have been getting a lot of rain and it has been in the 40's, but I just know spring is around the corner!

Hi Sis...

Girl, you really did get the snow, didn't you! OMG...will it ever end? You guys get so much more snow than we do...it's just too arid in our part of the country to get all that snow. Sad thing is...we are really in a drought right now because we hardly had any snow this winter. We are under a "Fire Watch alert" right now. Sheeeshh...and one of our neighbors have been burning...what a ding-dong! Anyway...I'm ranting...aren't I?

Sis, I love your art nouveau easel with that pretty lady...it's gorgeous!!! I think you have found the perfect photo album to display on it too! Ohhhh Sis...that antique photo album is GORGEOUS!!! I love the design...of course, you knew I would...since I love all sweet cherubs...and the green velvet...beautiful!!! Sis...I love your new lion head lamp! I think it looks perfect on that table under your stairs! I think its a "keeper"!!! I'm so glad that you finally got one that wasn't broken! I remember you telling me (when we talked on the phone) that the lady selling the lamp really did "make good" on it! Yeeehawww!!!

Well Sis...not a whole lot going on here! Well I lie...I have been cleaning and trying to make room for all the old goodies that Russell keeps bringing me from cleaning up his Dad's basement! Hehe! I actually have my mud room full right now! I have things soaking in the kitchen sink...need to get off my duff and get busy! Just wanted to pop in and say hello though! I'm counting down the days till June, sweet Sis!!! Yeeeehawww!

Love ya so much!

You always find the most original and unique antiques~ I love seeing all of your delightful finds!
We got snow today too girl. It's that icy, slushy mix and it's cold to boot. I want spring sooo bad.
I feel bad about your tulips. Hopefully they will pop back somehow.

Gloria what I love about those babies is that almost nobody knows what they are so they tend to be cheap...I mean affordable lol!
I want you to know girlfriend I haven't forgotten your chandy (and pillas AND corona *winks*) I'm just looking for the perfect box for them. Hard to find one big enough. The chandy is quite large.
Hang tight girlfriend, I'll get em to ya! I promise. Vanna

Hey sweet lady,
That angel is beautiful! Of course, all your treasures are. That snow makes me cold ~ and I am so happy we're beyond that now. Just wish I could order the perfect temps ~ we're in the 80's already and that's too much, too early. The wind has been such a problem...and killing me re: allergies. Oh well, what can we do? Standby...in 30 minutes it will all change! :-)

xoxo

Hi Gloria! More snow?!? Oh, my goodness. Well, that little angel does look like you - she's beautiful and so are you. Oh, those bridge supports are so pretty! They look like they're made of Jade! :)
I love seeing your home and under the stairs! :) Your easel! Gorgeous.
I'm glad you liked my drapes and yes, I made them! I just don't have sense. I could buy stuff but I think I have to make 'em! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi Gloria, it's been in the 70's here lately....hard for me to imagine snow! But we pay for it in the summer - awful humidity! Anyway, it was fun visiting under your stairs! What an interesting place - lots of fun things! Linda

Oh my, it's much too late for snow. I say that because the weather has been in the 70's and 80's this week. This time last year, we had snow also. Yuck. I hope you don't go from snow to 100 degree temps.

You have such beautiful things in your home. Such an inspiration.
