~Nesting Finds~

Hello Guys, Well this week finds have been really slim picking on my mountain...In order to go treasurer hunting you have to be able to get out of your driveway and we are again being hammered with snow..
I did get me a new old fan with frame...

I paid $28.00 for the whole thing Love it...

Got this sweet ca. 1880 shaving mug box..not that great condition but for only $30.00 I love it

The inside is pink satin
Found me a shaving mug and lather brush to go with it

Found a new photo album with the pictures this time..Score

I love the details on the inside of it..How fancy they were years ago
For now I put my fan and frame in my DR garden window
This is my little window alcove seat in my DR

The glass roof in my sun room and now you can see why I can't get out of my driveway..lots of snow..My whole house feels like a cave right now..Spring time in California ha ha!!
I am joining Courtney " French Country Cottage " for feather your nest...Thanks girl for a fun day..
Until next time from my snowy mountain to yours
Hugs and smiles Gloria

What great finds. Love them all. I still can not believe that California is getting all that snow, and that here we are having beautiful weather. Most of my spring bushes are in bloom as well as my spring flowers. Hope SPRING will come to you soon. Stay warm and have a blessed evening. Madeline

Oh Gloria! You do better NOT getting out of your house than I do when I can travel the whole darn area! I realize I NEED a framed fan like that! I have a fan that is framed, but not fan shaped kwim? I just love that shape! And the shaving box is killer! I don't care a wit that it's not perfect...Only adds to its charm! The album is sooo cool too! Girlfriend when I come over can we have tea in that little nook? I've never noticed it before! How freakin' perfect a spot is that for tea?? And girl lipton in a bag is fine for me *winks* I can also see the snow! That a heaping LOT of snow! You can come see me (If you can get out of the driveway) and get away from that stuff! Did the rain melt it off at all? Love ya! Vanna

That frame is gorgeous!! All of your finds are fabulous! And they all look precious in that gorgeous garden window.

Sorry about all that snow...I hope it ends for you soon. We got a little last night but other than that it is just so darn cold! Hurry up spring!!!

Well it certainly looks as if you did some great shopping considering you didn't leave your house! We actually had snow here this morning after several days in the 70's...yuck. Luckily for us, it didn't stick. Your treasures are so unusual. I love the corner holding the photo in the album. They certainly took special care with their photos.

Hi Sis...

OMG...you really are buried in all the white stuff! Seeing all that snow on the roof of your sunroom does look a bit cave like! Hehe! Sorry...I know that it's NOT a laughing matter! Poor thing! We are supposed to get snow tonight and then again on the weekend! Arghhh!

Well my dear, the snow didn't stop you too much! wink! You certainly found some pretty things this week! I love your new lacy fan and that case is gorgeous...isn't it!!! It looks perfect in your dining room garden window!!! I just love that little alcove area...sooo sweet and cozy!!! Sis, I love the pretty shaving mug box...it's fabulous! And...your new shaving mug and brush will look really pretty in it's new/olden fancy box! You're right...they just don't make fancy things like this anymore...wonder why? Like your beautiful antique photo album and how ornate the pages are! Sooo beautiful! I guess that is why folks started scrapbooking...to make fancy photo albums again!!! Anyway, I just love all of your new pretties, Sis! Thanks for sharing them with us!!!

Love ya, Sis!

Beautiful!! I just can't get over all the snow you're having. I am so grateful we're not. Spring has arrived in Texas ~ some days are incredibly wonderful, some not so much (wind) but hey, that's our great state! :-)

So fun! It's nice to see traditional Victorian decor! It is a style I love! Reminds me of Maymont, in Richmond, Va!

You and Richard C. are the only ones I know who have those wonderful Fan Shaped Cases, LOVE IT!!!

Thanks for weighing in on my Post you diminutive little thing you! *winks* I do understand how difficult it is to gain weight when you need to also since before age 50 I tended to be scrawny and wanted to be bigger... now just the opposite of coarse! *LOL* I know what I need to do and now it's a matter of disciplining myself to do it CONSISTENTLY!

Happy Spring... Dawn... The Bohemian

For someone who couldn't get out of their driveway, you did GREAT! That frame and the fan are gorgeous! The vignette in your window looks so pretty. Love those old boots. The picture on that shaving mug is soooo sweet, and how great that you found an album with photos in it. I can't believe you still have snow! I hope it is okay that I borrowed a photo from your blog for my Favorite Things post. laurie

Wow...puts my silly garage sales to shame. I DO love it when I find cute little things though. My fav's are those laced up boots..and that doll! Oh Gloria, the look on her face is just the cutest. Sooo haughty! I love it. A doll with a "tude!" :)

And...we are wet down here but you have really gotten the snow. I can't wait for the clouds to lift so I can see the snow on the distant mountains! It could be Christmas at your house instead of coming up on Easter in about a month. Snow...I do love it. Not liking to drive in it as we have had to do that and it still haunts me! :)
The flowers are blooming here...and yours will be soon.
Your things and Chari's are two of my most favorite blogs to drink in THINGS! Lovely! You would never want me for a visitor because I wouldn't be able to settle down long enough to talk. I would be walking around gapping like a fool!
Love and hugs to you, darlin'~!

Hello to my sweet friend...
MORE SNOW? OMYGOODNESS, girlfriend, ya'll must be getting OUR share of the moisture. We are sooo dry out here, I just know we will burn up this spring...there's already been some serious grass fires around us. Sooo dry. Will you please pray for rain for us out here in West Texas? Everyone here is praying hard.

oh, I love all your pretty things.
Thanks for sharing these treasures with us. I haven't bought anything pretty in a long time...need to get out more. :)
Take care and....stay warm.
