~MOD PODGE MONDAY~

Hello and Happy Monday everyone...Well here we are at a brand new week...I hope all of you had a Great weekend...What did you do anything fun like shopping or hitting the last of the season's Yard sales...Now we all like to start off our week by joining in with Susan at " Between Naps on The porch" for met Monday... And Rhoda at " Southern Hospitlality"

I love to decoupage and I love My Grandson Josh and his wife Heather and their sweet baby Kyra...Now as you know I just went to these kids wedding 3 weeks ago...And I wanted to do something special for them to remember their special day...

I printed these photos on plain paper...as I don't want to ruin the originals...

Now I buy every clear glass plate I can find at Hospice thrift store they are about a quarter each...

Oh I love these little sponge brushes... Oh and I love Mod Podge...this you can get at any craft store or Wal-mart...

I lay out the picture on the bottom of the plate to adjust it where I want it and then I cut it out...

Now you can see what I have here...I turn the plate upside down...Add some Mod Podge to the front of the picture...

Stick it down and let it dry... Be sure and press this down good so you don't have bubbles in it...I just use the outside of my Hand for this...

I cut a square of wedding gift wrapping paper... I have also used fabric to do this stage with...anything that you like and think is pretty will work...

I then Mod podge the front of the paper and add it to the back of the plate...After this dries I cut around it...Mod podge the back one more time to make sure all the edges are glued down..

Now this is the finished picture...its still not dry yet but was in a hurry to get my post done ha ha!! That cloudy look will go away when its completely dry... I still have a few more to make for these kids...also this makes a great wedding gift to take the bride and groom wedding invitation and sweet little gift for a new baby annuocement...You can add so many little things to the front of the plate...with all the great scrapbook stuff out there... Hope I didn't bore you guys too much today...

Now Please go by and see Susan And Rhoda..I'm heading that way myself...

May all of you have a great week...I know I sure am going to try...Just having one more day to feel so Blessed is a great week for me...

Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

What a wonderful gift!

I love mod podge but my lid always glues itself down & one of the guys has to get it open again.

Love your banner photos! They're beautiful! ☺ Diane

Hi Gloria!

I am so thrilled to know how to do this plate project! I have always seen them but didn't really know what the procedure was. Thanks for showing us all the steps. I'm gonna try it!

Your "cabin" must have turned into a palace when you added on those rooms! OMG it's such a beautiful home Gloria. And you have so many gorgeous things! I'm so happy you have such a wonderful home in your beloved "cabin".

Dot AKA Picket is so adorable! She is exactly like her blog. She has a deep Alabama Southern drawl and is full of the joy of the Lord! She laughs, she cries, she laughs, she cries, just like you are reading her post. Her sister Helen is so funny and they play off of each other constantly. Chris my DIL and I were with her for 3 hrs and every moment was absolutely delightful!! I felt like I have known her forever and left with a true friend for life.

Hugs, Sherry

I hope you will come over and check out this weeks Knock off and I bet you have some things you could post to the KNOCK OFF KNOCK OUT Party.

Hi Gloria...I am not crafty at all, but have always wanted to decoupage some plates, so thank you so much for the lesson! I haven't heard of mod podge, but it seems easy enough for even me to use! Such a loving grandma to do something personal and handmade for your grandson...I hope they treasure the plate as I'm sure they treasure you! Mary
