Any way this newest addition to my family...asked me for my address...had something she wanted to send me...I guess it was kinda like a "New Mother Present"
So you can only image how happy I was to receive this from my new daughter...Of course being a veteran blogger now I grab my camera first before I tear into this box...
Oh and look what I see this sweet little card and the ink match's the paper...of course it would match its Melissa who does everything Beautiful...
Tied with a Black Velvet ribbon no less...How fancy can this girl get...
Ooooh...lookie here... Is this not the most beautiful tassel you have ever seen...I tell you I really did do my Swan dance over this...The card said it reminded her of me!! WOW!!
Now I just knew I had to find a very special place to hang this...And of course any thing that I have of my Mama's is just so Priceless to me...You see this little brass plaque...Well my Daddy gave this Grand father clock to my Mama for Christmas 1983 and it was her pride and joy...I mean she wore these little white gloves to even clean it...she didn't want any finger prints on the brass...She was real funny that way...Us kids use to tease her about even her throw pillows smelled like Pine-sol and shined...You could eat off my mama's floor...kinda like me...grab a "fork" whatever you want I have it spilled on my kitchen floor ha ha!
So girl...I hung it here with pride...so every day when I see my Mama's pride and joy I will also think of my Newest Daughter...Love ya girl...your the best...Now for those who have not met this sweet Melissa Please go by and say Hi !!Now can you love someone you have never met...you bet your blog you can...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!
May all of you have a GREAT weekend...As for me I better go scrub my kitchen floor and make my Mama proud...I just know she's looking down on me from heaven and thinking Gloria I didn't raise you this way....

Oh my goodness! I just turned on my puter and look what I find? You are so sweet to do a post on little ole' me and your new swan tassel. Ah, I have tears in my eyes.
I just love where you hung up the pretty swan. How beautiful and special is that grandfather clock! LOVE it! It looked so Victorian and perfect for you my friend I just had to mail it tom you. I really hope you enjoy it very much.

Gloria...your story about your mama reminded me so much of my mom. She never worked outside the home...so I guess she saw things, we probably wouldn't...but I remember my mom on her hands and knees, cleaning out the spaces between the wood slat floor with a tooth pick and Q-tips! Now girl, I call that clean! Me??? If the mop, vacuum and a good lick doesn't do it...it ain't gettin done!!!
