~WHERE THE BILL"S GET PAID~

Hello girls!! well today I took some more random shots and this time it's my office...this is the room I play my juke box in, play with my slot machine's and do my monthly bill's....Now the ceiling Fan is from 1903 and a GE...Please click on any picture to enlarge them... Now this is an Old time National time clock that I have one of many of my slot machines sitting on, Also the lamp is from a funeral parlor, Juke box is 1947 Wurlitzer its called a bubble machine...I know I have shown this before..but its one of my prize things I own...My Wally got this for me for my 39th Birthday lol!! OH and that was many years ago he he!! Don't you love Nipper sitting there...

An old piano stool that I keep under the end of my desk for extra seating...

Now this is my desk and where I do my blogging from.... And pay the dreaded Bills...YUK!!

Now I just wanted to show you a few close up pictures of this English bench I have in here...this is the back and seat....Love all the details in this piece...this is also one of my oldest pieces in this room..ca. 1700

This is one of the arms and the bottom front...its all oak and very heavy I love that it opens up so I can store things in it...and you can be sure I have it packed to the max ha ha!!

another shot of the center panel...

Just another one of my stained glass windows...

Now this shelf is an Victorian drapery rod...see the drapery rings on it...I add the oak shelf on top to make it into a shelf.... and of course my Diner music box sits on it with an Ostrich and emu egg..

These 2 slot machine sit under the shelf...one is a dime and the other a nickle machine...

Now this is another slot machine I just got 3 month's ago...its a fifty cent one...and that thing on the floor next to it is an old miner's warning horn... And another small stained glass window...

Oh!! Girls I love this viewer it's so neat to look at all the card pictures with...these cards are all 3-D how cools is that...

Now this is the mirror above the bench..these 2 pieces were not made for each others but once I got them I put them together so it looks like one unit...

Just an old Oliver type writer and an antique light fixture...

These is a double oak file cabinet that I found in a welding shop it was full of welding rods...I made the owner an offer he couldn't understand and had it refinished and brought in home ha ha!!

one of my Lawyers book cases...I keep all my Lenox Disney in it...and that sweet picture is my dear Mama at 18...

top of my Armoire this holds all my DVD's and VHS movies...

Now remember how I told you we added this wall last year....This office use to be apart of my Living room...but I wanted an office so Len added a wall and I shown you my Living room already so this is whats on the other side now...We had to add a support wall that's why you see the nook like here...

Now you can see in this shot the support beam and wall...I added this little Victorian shelf I had at the very top to just give it a pretty look... Well girls that was my Casino/office...Now you know where I set in my Old Red robe every morning drink my coffee and do my blogging...Well I didn't bore you too much today...I mean how exciting is it to look at an office...

Thanks for coming by and if you want to leave a comment I would love it...I love hearing from all my great cyber friends here...May all of you have a great day...

Gloria you have the neatest things!! I love that floor lamp by the stained glass piece and love the way you placed the book case at the end of your bill paying desk! Great idea!

Hey I have one of those viewers too!! My freind Millicent had one that I used to look at all the time when I was little and it was one of those things I just had to have when I got old enough to collect so kept hunting till I found one (cheap of course)!!

Boring? Girl, you couldn't do boring if you tried! I enlarged that first picture and was amazed, looking at the details of this and that. There were so many things that caught my attention in here! My goodness, when people visit you they must just wander around as if they're in an antique mall, or better yet, transferred to the past!

That bench is absolutely amazing!!!!!

Okay, the filing cabinets. What the hell were you doing in a welding shop in the first place? LOL!

And how can you sit and put money in your slot machines when you know there's nothing to be won? LOL!

I love all the history that you've surrounded yourself with. Now don't think me crazy for asking this, but because of all the old items you have, have you brought home any ghosts inadvertently?

Justine :o )
