~RANDOM BLUES and A WINNER~

Hello Girls...Well today for BLUE Monday hostess by Sally At Smiling Sally's I thought I would just take a few random shots of BLUE things in my Kitchen and Dining room...and also I needed to announce the winner of my 100 post gift away...PLEASE go by and see Sally today and see all the BLUEness waiting you!!

Now isn't this exciting ....my Roma dishes and look all the way up its BLUE...even BLUE wine glasses... Oh My how did those green apples get in these...hey I'm a STUFFER...that's what my mama called me...as I would stuff, stuff everywhere lol!!

One of the ceiling medallion in my kitchen...with an antiques light fixture...

Another ceiling medallion with a double angle Rail Road car antique coal lamp ca. 1880 that I made into electric...and it has what else but feather BLUE shades on it...

An Italian oil lamp in my Dining room..ca. 1880

BLUE lamp hanging above one of my stain glass windows...

Now this one one of my stain glass windows..I have four in my dining room...2 large and 2 smaller ones that are all from the same church from southern Illinois...My Late FIL had these sitting in his yard buried in snow the first time I seen them..Oh girls the wood had been painted like 6 differ colors and had sat in his yard for 15 years when I found them...He got them from his old church when they were tearing it now...Oh I just loved them..and he told me "girl if you can get them home you can have them" Well that poor man didn't know what hit him !! I grab him around the neck gave him a big ole Hug and went running for the phone..with in a day I had them loaded on a moving van being shipped to California...Poor papa didn't have a chance to change his mind...

One of my hanging Parlor lamps also in Dining room... I just love the BLUE shade on this one...its a water scene with an crain on it...Oh you can click on any picture to enlarge them...but remember my dust rule girl..its all antique dust ha ha!!

Another one of my windows..Now girls it took me 4 months to remove all the old paint from the frame on these windows...then I had to redo some of the lead on them...then we builted the Dining room just to put these in...so let's see Window's FREE...Shipping to California $280.00 supplies needed to redo and finish $80.00 Building Dining Room $25,000. coming from Papa PRICELESS .....

Victorian print...ca 1900

OK Girls .....Now I guess I need a drum roll here...ha ha!! I want to thanks all of you who left comments on my 100 post give away...without all of you I would have never made it to 25 let alone 100...I just ♥ all my blogging friends here..I can't believe all the wonderful women I have met while blogging...What really surprises me is that in the wonderful world of blogging their is no age different...we are all women with a strong love of God, our children and our family...We all have the same caring and sharing needs that women no matter what age have...I have felted so blessed to be able to care and share my life with all of you and read about your life...YOU all have made me feel complete....Thank You!!!

Now I had 65 comments on the give away post ....how ever you will see Mr. Random thingy has only 1-63...2 comments left were from my Grandson Josh and my daughter Dawna..And HELLO! Josh I can't see you with a tea cup lamp and Dawna you always have a car that's looks like a LOW-RIDER every time you leave my house...and Mama will made you one...lol!!

Now Mr. Random thingy picked number 6....here is my list so that would be ...Cass from that Old House...Congrats girl on winning...Now I need you to email me your address so I can get all your Rose stuff packed off to you...WOW!! I see you live in New Jersey...so this Little lamp will be going to the other end of the United States from me...May you enjoy it Cass..

Now I want to thanks you all for your kindness...May you have a great Monday..

Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

Hi Gloria! What a wonderful surprise, to come to the computer this morning and discover that I had won your adorable tea cup lamp! I am so excited!!!

I will email you my address today, and start deciding where in That Old House the lamp will "live." I need to decide before my daughter Anne gets home from college, as she loves all things to do with tea, and she'll try and snatch it away from me!

Love you "blue" post -- so many lovely things! I like your "dust rule," too. My "dust rule" is -- "Dust is a protective coating on fine antiques! Do not disturb!" :-)

Happy Monday, and again, THANKS! Cass
PS The stained glass story is amazing -- thank goodness the frames were so heavily painted; it's probably what protected the wood outside!

Hey Sis...

Just coming by to see what you're up to today!

Ooohhh...I really, really enjoyed this Blue Monday post, Darlin'!!! Girl, I see a few lamps and lights that I've never seen before! First of all...love those beautiful ceiling medallions...did you paint them yourself? They're just so perfect with those gorgeous lights!!! This was the first time I seen that little Italian beauty...Ooohhh, that has got to be the prettiest shade of blue!!! I was just mesmerized by that shade of blue globe!!! And the designs on that pretty lamp...fabulous!!! I do believe that you should be called "Queen of the Lamps"...seriously!!! Each and every lamp and light that you have is sooooo very beautiful, Sis!!!

Ohhhh myyyy goodness...I just can't believe that those beautiful stain glass windows were outdoors, let alone...buried under the snow! That's like digging and finding a few thousand dollar bills just laying around! Hehe!!! What a keepsake treasure!!! I have been bringing home (from Russ' dad's place) some of Russell's mom's stained glass! Girl, I just wished that beautiful woman was still alive...she passed away when she was in her mid 50's...it's so sad! She did all of the stain glass work and was really good at it...sold her work in stores and galleries! The few pieces that we have are some of her first works...I'm just treasuring them!!! Oh shoot, I've gotten side-tracked..hehe! Anyway, I just love all of your "pretties" and I always just love looking at all of your photos...enlarging them and savoring them!!!

Just wanted to say a big Congratulations to Cass for winning your fabulous "Rose Giveaway"...lucky, lucky lady!!!

Well darlin'...hope that you're having a marvelous Monday!!!
Love ya honey,
Chari
PS...so glad that you're interested in doing the "Sunday Favorites" meme...I've got to figure out how to get Mr. Linky on my post...hehe!

Gloria, you have the most beautiful home with so many beautiful antiques. Loved the story about your Papa and the stained glass windows. I always love seeing pics of your home and antiques. Congrats to the winner of your giveaway. She is a lucky lady!! Have a wonderful evening!

I just love all your lights! As you may remember my house was built in 1862 but never had any fancy light fixtures, save maybe the one, that one my husband swears he doesn't know what happened to it. It had those porcelain light fixtures, the real basic ones with one bulb and a chain. Some day I hope to replace some of them with vintage light fixtures, hubby doesn't seem to say to much any more! lol

Hi Gloria, WHEW!
I just got my keybord back up and running. It was out all day and I was going nuts not being able to comment to anyone.
My hubby figured it out when he got home from work.

I LOVE the Blue stained glass window!
That is a gorgeous piece.

Congrats to the lucky winner of your wonderful giveaway. I know she will enjoy it all!

Have a great evening my friend.
