~Oh No!! I have Stones & Mold~

Did I get your attention !!! Being as Easter is almost here and I keep seeing all these chocolate bunnies all over blogland...I though I would show you my antiques Easter candy molds...these are all from ca. 1800 Baby Bunnies that makes 4 Candies...Please click on any picture to enlarge to see the details on them...

How about an Easter Basket one to put them in...

This is a Monkey playing a fiddle mold

Now this one reminds me of the candy bunnies we still have today....

A Peter Cotton tail one...
These I have displayed above my french doors going into my sun room...and those are not curtains at the doors...those are Tin cut outs that hang on the door just like a wreath hangers would...
This is an Railroad triple angle lamp from an old rail road car that I also have hanging in this same corner of my kitchen...and you also can see some of my old coffee grinders....

Now I just love Stoneware of any kind...this is Red wing number #8 crock and next to it is a number # 6 crock...love my little feed sacks sitting on them...this is on the side of my frig...

Now this is my oldest Milk Pitcher I have its from ca. 1700 and I just love the bull dogs that hold the handle on it .....

Also one of my favorites milk pitchers...this I bought right out of a collector home in 1986...Now this gal that had it was so sweet and had a huge collections of stone ware...She also was featured in Country Living Magazine in 1982....

Here is the page from the magazine that she had with the pitcher and if you enlarge this picture you will see my milk pitcher in it....

She also gave me this note telling me about the history of the piece she had it for over 50 years and it belongs to her Grandma before she got it...is that not sweet to have a bit of history with it...This lady was moving into a smaller home and had to down size and that's why she sold it to me...Lucky Me!!

Just more of my collection...of milk Pitchers and bowls...

Love the grapes on this one...

Some of my Yellow ware bowls..or mustard as they call them....

This is how I have them displayed in my kitchen...this is an old Camel cigarettes display case from an old store ca. 1920... just had to have it...Oh and you can also see my sweet "Borden" clock ca. 1930 that thing in front of the clock is a string holder also from a General store...Years ago they did not bag your purchases they wrapped them in brown paper and tied them with string...And that apron was my Mama's...So I hoped I didn't bore you too much with my Passion of antiques today...But I do have a General store kitchen....Thanks for coming by guys and seeing just a little corner of my kitchen...Hey I could have done a BLUE Monday post with this..

May all of you have a great day....

Hugs and smiles Glria

Hmmm.. .if you consider your kitchen a general store, then you really need one of those glass jars with the stick candies in them!!!!!!!! Every general store I've ever been in has had those!
I cannot believe those are tin cutouts on your doors and not curtains! Where did you find those????????????
Btw... LOVED the title of this post!

Oh my goodness, you have so many wonderful collectibles. Those molds are like pieces of art. You are very lucky to have that milk pitcher, it is very sweet, and what a neat story. I just love them all!!

I also love those tin cut outs on your French doors, they are so pretty. I remember seeing them in a magazine a couple of years ago, and really admiring them.

Thanks for sharing all of your collectibles with us, I really enjoyed them. Nicole

Gloria,
You have the neatest collection of dishes and other goodies. I hope you have tons of room for your collection ~~I am doing just the opposite, that being, scaling down. I played that game of turning the hanger facing back and then you know if you wore it at all that year. Guess what ? I have antiques in my closet !!! I love my sweats, though, and would rather buy something for the house or something fun. have a good week. .. Connie

You just have the most unique ideas and collections, and I love coming to see what you'll show us next. Now, I really want to know about those metal thingies on your French doors. They are so pretty. Gloria,
One of the reasons I love visiting your site is because you collect such interesting objects. You also display them so nicely. I love those mustard colored bowls; they would look spiffy in my kitchen! I can’t believe how many molds you have, must have taken a long time to find them…thanks for sharing this. ~Cathy~

Mornin' Girlfriend...

Girl, I am always learning such neat stuff from you!!! So happy that you shared some more of your beautiful things...I have never seen a triple angle lamp...it's quite unique looking with the rounded clear glass at the bottom! Love it!!! Loved seeing some of your stoneware or crocks as I call them! I don't know...there's just something about crocks that you gotta love! I have a few and I always keep my eye out for more!!! Love your old stoneware pitcher with the bulldog!!! Okay, now I'm thinking that they call all that pretty stoneware with the blue...blue spongeware...am I right? I loved enlarging the photos and looking through your pretty collection!!! Russell was sitting here with me last night while I was looking at them and he was quite intriqued with your old Borden's clock...hehe!!!

Ohhh my, I remember seeing a few of your old chocolate or candy molds before but how befitting to show these now at Easter! I just adore them and they're so pretty hanging up on your wall...love that pretty silver color against the blue!!! Have you ever used any of them to make candy? Wow...just thinking that these are what they used to have to make all of the pretty shaped candies...not like the technology of today where they can produce them by the millions! Gloria, I just love those pretty white lacey tin trims that you have on your double doors...they're gorgeous, Sweetie!!! Where did you find those? They're so pretty!!!

Well Sis...don't know how much I'm going to get done today...feeling a little under the weather! I think it's due to all of the weather changes...one day we have 6ft. snow drifts and the next it's 60 degrees...shhheeeshh! It's hard on my ol' body! Are you getting everything together for your Easter gathering? Who all's coming? Geezzz, I'm nosey, aren't I? hehe!!! Talk to you later, Sweetie...have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Love ya,
Chari
