~ MY TRASHY TREASURER"S ~

Hello girl's !!! Well this is the first time I have done trash to treasure Tuesday...but I go to the Hospice Store very Friday...I have been on a mission to find White Ironstone lol!! I know I need another collection...Len use to just stand by the door with his arm's folded , giving me the Look !!! But I now have him running all over the store picking up everything white and bringing it to me ha ha!! Hey girls it took me a month to train him on this one...Any Hoo this fun day is hosted by Diane at " a Picture is worth a thousand words " Please go by and see all the wonderful eye candy awaiting you today...

Now I got this Ironstone coffee pot and the plate I had got last month with a soup tureen. . Just added my sweet Bunnies that Dot at " Picket Place" send me tossed in some yellow flowers added some lemons...I just love Blue/white together and the yellow just gave it a POP ....This I put on my kitchen table for a springy look... Coffee pot $3.50, flowers and Lemons Dollar Tree, BUNNIES PRICELESS...

These are all just Plates I got for fifty cents each...of Course there in what else but....Blue and White...(now I will tell you Len did do the Look when I tossed these in my basket ) ha ha!! Hey he still in training girl's

Now is this not the cutest thing...it has a place for Jam, Jellies, Butter and toast...Sweet !! $2.50

Now Monday's are dump days for Len...so off he goes to the dump...and look what he came back with !! A cake dome...some lady was tossing it out because she broke the cake stand for it...Tell me I wasn't doing my Happy Dance when he comes in the door with this...again the man grabbed it because he thought it was a Cloche lol!! I gave him a Hi-Five and cooked him a Chili Relleno casserole for dinner...Oh Girls the things I do for that man!!! Now if only I could get him to understand what a Cloche is ha ha!!

Now go see Diane....May all of you have a wonderful and blessed day...I know I sure am blessed...

Hugs and smiles Glo♥ria

I was leaving a comment on your last post, and you posted again! lol

Oh, I sure do love those plates. I love blue and white plates and if I had the money, would have transferware! I just love bargain plates, especially when they are as beautiful as these! I haven't seen any ironstone at the Goodwill, but if I do, it will be coming home with me!

You have that man trained well! I would say her earned that dinner when he snatched that cake dome up!

Great idea.

Gloria, don't you dare tell him what a cloche is because he might not bring you any more cake domes. LOL! That man is a keeper if you've got him trained to hunt white dishes and cloches. You've got to tell me your secret because mine just sits down and says his flat feet hurt. LOL!

Loved what you found!

XO,

Sheila

I LOVED your discription of your home, by the way...:) What matters to me about your home is that you love it and it shows.
I am going crazy over here trying to keep up with things. Family things going on...and blogging...well..I think you know what I mean. Sometimes it isn't easy.
What a nice post you did today!

Your man is so cute. I can just see him holding that cake dome with a big grin on his face. I know what that would look like because mine does the same thing. I ask him for one thing and he brings home something else just as proud as can be! It's priceless.

Good morning GF! Everything you showed here are so lovely! And I love the way you arranged the white ironstone with the bunnies, flowers and lemons. So pretty altogether. You are so right about carrying the Lladro home but not me, John hand carried it all the way. We were afraid it wouldn't be accepted in the plane as a hand carry cause the box is huge but the measurements just made it...Christine

Just visiting ---- found you by accident and I enjoyed seeing all of your goodies, and the story was the best! I can just imagine what went into 'the training of the man'!!! Have a great day!

It is cute the way our men get "into" this stuff with us. You know, I just bought my cloche not too long ago, and my husband points to cake savers and declares them "large cloches!" LOL

"Blossom" said...

If this is the kind of trash you are buying than I wanta be trashy too. I too love my soup tureen and the cleaniest of the white against other colors and textures.
Good hunting I mean trashy hunting.

Well I tell ya that Len is a keeper. I'm lucky in that Phil is always on the look out for things I like when we are treasure hunting, but I return the favor and look for things he likes as well.

I love that jam/jelly/toast tray. Very cute.

Have a happy day

Mornin' Sis...

Thought I'd get up and get an early start with the blogs...shhhh, Russell is still asleep! Hehe!!! He didn't get home till about 9 last night...he's been working so hard on that house!!!

Anyway, I'm so glad to joined in with "2nd Time Around"!!! Girl, that first photo of your new Spring vignette is stunning!!! Looks like it came right off of the page of BHG!!! I love it! Love that pretty ironstone coffee pot! Oooh...and Dottie's bunnies too!!! Pretty, pretty, pretty!!!

Love all of your blue & white plates too...can't pass those little beauties up when they're only 50 cents!!! My favorite is the last plate...it's so different...love that!!!

Girl, can you believe that lady was just throwing out that glass cake dome...OMG!!! Surely you would have thought she had a big plate, platter, or something that she could still use it on! Sheeeeshhh!!! Of course, her loss is your gain!!! Len did good on that one, Sweetie!!! I'd just let him keep thinking that he's finding cloches...hehe!!! How cute!!!

Well what's on the agenda for today, Sweetie? I've got to run into town for groceries! Other than that...nothing planned for me! Have a terrific Tuesday!!!

Love ya, Sis!

I came here from Picket's Place - and I'm glad I did. I loved your trash to treasure finds. I don't get to go to the thrift store very often right now because I'm babysitting with one of my grandchildren but I do love to go when I can. I collect Blue Willow dishes - they were the first dishes my husband and I ever had (we've been married over 44 years) and came from the parents of his best friend. Over the years I've added to them and sure do love the blue and white colors! blessings, marlene

Ya, I don't think I would see the day my husband doing that. I do think though with your husband, the training is paying off... HaHa - Great find! I do however have my husband doing a lot of cooking. In fact when I go out and do some all day shopping, he'll have a fabulous dinner waiting for me. Sometimes I need him in hiding, so I can bring home things and hide it for awhile, then bring it out at a good time.

I love your white ironstone!!

Gloria, I absolutely love your white ironstone. I have been on the hunt for white for months. Now I am on the hunt for yellow and also blue and white. Your plates are gorgeous. I could use them all. So far I have only found 3. The yellow flowers with the blue and white is so pretty. Your hubby is so well trained. I leave mine at home, he has no eye for a treasure, but he is kind enough to oooh and ahhhh when I bring something home. lol Love everything you found. Hugs, Marty
