Oh Girls...I'm so excited...You see this sweet Baby that's my great granddaughter Kyra...I think everyone in Bloggerville knows how Kyra was born with her heart on her right side and her Aorta valve not attached, 3 holes in her heart and her Esophagus valve also not attached...Therefore she have had 2 open heart surgeries, the first one when she was only 8 hours old...She also has had a feeding tube in her tummy since she was born as she could not swallow because of the Esophagus....Well this little thing is 10 months old now and has like 16 surgeries just on her Esophagus alone...
Well today at Children Hospital in Dallas she had yet another surgery....And guess what they the doctors could put the tube all the way down her Esophagus and she has been eating now on her own since August...So they removed her feeding tube...YAHOO!! that's a BIG step for this little girl...
I got so excited when Josh called me to let me know how she came out from this latest surgery..
Thank you God...This news put me on my knees...Now Kyra still has another hole in her heart but doctors are hoping that with age it will close on it's own...Also she still has many more Esophagus Surgeries to be done...Her next one in January 2010...
I wanted to take the time to THANK ALL OF YOU for your prayers that you have send to this special little girl...I know God knows each and everyone of your names...

Gloria, allow me to be the first to say "PRAISE THE LORD!" . I actually have tears in my eyes. I remeber teh day Clifton had hsi feeding tube taken out after he was burned...what a happy day that was forus as well.

Well Darlin'...all praised be to Jesus!!! Ohhh...I'm just shouting praises to heaven...crying those tears of joy right now, my friend!!! This is just the best news ever...I'm so thankful that this precious baby girl doesn't have to mess with a feeding tube any more!!! I know her mama and daddy are just elated as well! You know...the good Lord has had His hand upon this child ever since she was born...I just know that He has sooo many special things for her!!! It'll be interesting to see her little life unfold!!!

Gloria, I have never seen a picture of this special little girl when she didn't have a huge grin on her face! She is just so cute! I'm so happy to hear that she is eating on her own. She's been through so much in her short life, yet she has smiled through all of it! I just got a huge grin on my face when I saw this picture of her.
