~WHAT"S BEEN GOING ON~

Hello guys!! I hope all of you have been having a great week...Now I thought I would show you what I have been up to...I told you I have been tearing off wall paper in my laundry room...So I have been working in here so I can add this...

Yes it's more wall paper...But this is bead board wall paper I got from Home Depot that really looks and feels like the real thing...can't wait to get it all up and the room all painted...but I'm real slow now...not as fast as I once was ha ha!! Hey I'm getting old girls !!! Oh I know I said slap me silly if I ever did wall paper again...But I do love this paper...

Also I spend last week end trying to finish up more little lamps....

I finally got these done and in the mail....This one I made for Melissa at "Heart and Home" she's one of my adopted daughters you know...And girl if you haven't been by to see her do your self a BIG favor and do so...She not only has a beautiful blog her heart is just as beautiful...that's why I adopted her....

Also got this little watering can one done for another one of my adopted daughters....

Do I need to tell you which daughter this one is for?? ha ha!!! She is the "QUEEN of FLOWERS" if you have never been to her blog and want some real pretty flower candy swing by and see her...At "Tootsie Time" Can you love your adopted daughters...like Shelia at "Note Songs" would say you bet your lamp parts you can... And Girls if you haven't been to see Shelia also do your self a Huge favor and go see her...She just wonderful and she from Texas and talks real silly for Y'all...ha ha!!

Len has been busy building more rock walls...He had a backhoe up here on Saturday to dig out more places for him to stack...I have 11 acres up here on my mountain top and the best part about it is it's all level...which is real rare to find on a mountain top...

Now this man has on a Heart Monitor they put on him yesterday and as soon as he got home he was back outside working on his walls....Can't wait to see the reading on this....I told him not to paint the garage because he could't shower so he goes and plays in the dirt...I give up !!!

These walls are what they call "Dry stack" no mortar just each rock fitting the next one...Oh!! this man loves to build these walls...I now have them all over the 11 acres....See all these trees well this is what I see everyday outside my windows...I told you I live on a mountain and if I hear a car I know I have company ha ha!!! got to love that....Just me, Len, and the trees...

Now girls I will be turning 1 in 9 days...Oh yes!! my 1 year Anniversary is just around the corner...I have been getting stuff for this special day now for over 2 months...This is just another sneak picture of coming attraction....This is really a special day for me as I'm only going to be 1 one time....So I have been gathering all things that I love and hope one of my Lucky followers will also l♥ve....I will be having this on October 19 th so please come back and see what my Anniversary present to you will be...I just know without you following me I would be talking to the wall...Kinda like I did when my daughters were teenagers ha ha!!
Now this Sunday is also Second Sunday Swap meet and I can't hardly wait...I'm going to actually meet another one of my blogger friends in person...Can you love someone you never met??? Of course you can if it's Dawn at a " Cottage State of Mind"
if you haven't been by her blog also take a trip over and see her...She's a great gal and I know I will be doing the Happy Dance to finally meet her...Thank you for coming by and seeing all my nonsense I seem to do that alot don't I ??? I hope all of you have a great weekend...

Hi Gloria,

I have been wondering what the new bead board wallpaper looks like. It's great! You really have been working hard in that laundry room~come up for air!!

Your lamps are amazing. I can hardly change a bulb and you are wiring them. Now, Melissa and Tootsie are my all time favorite bloggy people, so I am so happy they are getting the lamps, although you are going to have everyone in Blogland jealous. They are fantastic!!

I knew you lived on 11 acres but I don't think I knew it was on a mountain top (I live under one of those rocks Len is moving...and tell him to quit moving them!!!). Please take more pictures of the views you have. I have neve been to ANY mountains. Do a city girl a favor!! Do you get snow up there??

Well you have a great weekend, sweetie!!

xoxo

Gloria-you always make me smile when I read what you write. Are you always cheerful? I can't wait to see your finished project. I love your spruce tree. We had a beautiful one, and "its feet got too wet" this spring and it died. We found the birds love to perch on it more now that it is dead...so, we haven't had the heart to take it down. We have a skeleton tree in our backyard.

You have a wonderful day!

Gloria, I knew it would be beautiful because you were on the mountain, so I'm loving seeing all the pine trees. Can't believe your Len is out there doing all this work! He's a real man's man, isn't he? And getting to meet Dawn at 2nd Sunday Swap should be fun for you this weekend. She told me she'd come meet me when I fly back to Cali for my son's belongings- they're in Oakhurst. I wish it could be sooner than later, but with my schedule here, it probably won't be til after the new year. Have lots of fun- and find something pretty to buy!LOL
Mr. Sullivan bought me an old double wash tub today. For me? hah! he wants to use it as an ice chest for when we have an outdoor party- full of beer and who knows what else?!!
lotsa hugs, Sue

I love the lamps, Gloria!!

I can't wait to see your "beadboard" project.

We hauled rocks from the farm and rocks from a creek, in our subdivision to build dry stack walls for the berms. I am going to hate leaving those rocks if we ever sell the house. Might have to throw a couple in the truck for old time's sake!

Have a great weekend!!

I really want to know how in the world I get you to adopt me or at least consider me a long lost relative from the wrong side of the tracks and get a pretty lamp of my own. lol Seriously, they are all just so pretty and you always do the most creative things. I really love them. Hugs, Marty

Oh boy Gloria, wait till Glenda gets that lamp. She's going to LOVE IT. It is soooooo perfect for her!

Okay, Len is going to be in big trouble when they take the holter monitor off tomorrow. I do believe you're just supposed to do everyday kind of things while you have one on. But hey, if he's always building walls, I guess that IS his everyday kind of thing.

The trees are amazing! Is that a blue spruce? OMG, just gorgeous!!!

Can't wait to see what you find this Sunday. I'm still waiting for that one item that will make you think of me! LOL

Justine :o )

Oh, Gloria, I think your wallpaper is going to look perfect in your laundry room! Be sure to share pictures when you're all finished.

Now, let me know just how to become one of your adopted daughters because those little lamps are just the cutest things. I absolutely love the one in the little cup and saucer. You're so creative.

Congratulations on your upcoming 1 year anniversary. I can't imagine what you're working on, but the hint photograph sure looks pretty! Hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend.

Girl, you tell Len to stay in and take it easy Saturday! I don't want him too tuckered out to drive you down that mountain into the big city on Sunday!

How did you get 11 FLAT acres on that mountain top? Are you sure it' not a butte? Whatever it is it's "butte"ful. Len is quite the wall builder!

On my way soon,
Dawn

Len's doing a beautiful job, but tell him to take it easy (lol, as if he would listen). Can you believe you've been blogging for a year? I look forward to many, many more fun posts from you gal! Gloria, you are just one busy lady! Let me know how "easy" the wallpaper goes up - I'm considering it for a bathroom... (And I swore I'd NEVER wallpaper again about 20 yrs ago...)

The lamps are so precious. Melissa & Glenda are very lucky adopted daughters!

Len's walls are beautiful! Hope he's ok. They just don't listen to us when we tell them to slow down do they?!?

Hi Gloria :)

What darling lamps! You need to open an Etsy shop up!

Oh and yes, the boys were with us for two months, but now they're off and on with their mother. She's... um.... let's just not go there.. (clearing throat). Anyway, I knew what BR was immediately! I love their ice cream too :)
