~JUST A WEE BIT OF FALL~

Hello Girls...I hope all is well on your side of the mountain today...Fall is indeed in the air up here on my mountain top...I had to finally turn the heater on...I'm not loving that...but my power company will.... I have been adding Fall to my house...now mind you not alot... It's my favorite time of the year...But it seems like I just get the July 4th stuff put away and drag out the fall stuff and it won't stay long before I drag out the Christmas stuff...well you get the picture...I did made this wreath a month ago from one I found at a yard sale...just tore it all apart and put my own stuff on it...

My kitchen table...and girls let me tell you it's not easy doing the colors of fall in a blue kitchen...It looks like a box of crayons tossed up there cookies in their...ha ha!!

Now I loved this sweet little birds I got at Michael's a few months ago....they have little acorns on them...and the best part was they were on SALE my magic word to me...$2.00 each SCORE...of course I had to add a little nest and put it all under a cloche's...Put this in my living room...

Candy corn under glass...oh I love these cloche's and what you can do with them all year...

Took my old crock pitcher and added some fall flowers to it...Flowers of course from where else Dollar Tree...This sit at the end of my Bin Counter in the kitchen....

My fire place mantle which I never show...as I can't stand it...it's a corner unit...I use to have a pellet stove here and when I did the remodel in 99 and put in Ac and central heating I took the stove out and was left with this...Have you ever tried to decorate a corner unit before not easy...

I made the flower arrangement from left overs I had from my Daughter Dawna wedding 2 years ago...Added an Orb to a candle stick and found the glass candle and holder from my all time favorite thrift store Hospice for $2.50 SCORE again....

Plate I also got for 50 cents Hospice and that sweet cupcake holder was my Birthday present from Chari from "Happy To Design" I know I'm so spoiled...But I love it...and if you haven't been to her blog do your self a BIG favor and go see her...Her home is as lovely as she is...Real eye candy in store for you there...She's living my life ha ha!!

Put a couple more orb's under another Cloche sat in on one of my coffee tables...Just thought the browns and cooper looks like fall to me...The Orb's I got from Wal-mart $10.99 for 3 SCORE....

Now this really has nothing to do with fall...but I found this last time I went to Marshall's and it made me remember when I too had an Hour Glass figure....so many years ago ha ha!! Added a tassel to the top that I got from Hospice for a dollar....Don't you just love thrift stores and the great things you can find for a few $$$....I know I do and if I get tired of it I just donate it back ha ha!!

Now for all of you that didn't enter my 1 year give away just click here...as I will be picking the winner on Sunday night...so I can do my Met Monday post and announce....GOOD LUCK...I can't wait to see who wins...Thank you all for you entries so far I have had the best time with this...Thank you to my new followers... I love meeting new people here in Bloggerville...I will be getting back to each and everyone of you...Now I have a new project I'm doing right now...so need to go get all my supplies today...YAHOO!!! I get off this mountain for the day....

May all of you have a Great and Blessed day on your side of the mountain...

Hugs and smiles Glria

Hey Gloria!
Thanks so much for stopping over at my blog! Your blog is beautiful and I love the Mosaic picture up top that shows so many of your vintage treasures...I'm loving your fall decor too! Congratulations on your Blogging Anniversary...that is such a beautiful and generous giveaway you are having...Oh I love those Tea Time Magazines...I can lose myself for hours in those, and believe it or not, I sometimes find those at yard sales, and they'll be current issue! I cannot believe that someone would part with that magazine. I still have my copies that I've picked up that are old ones. LOL! They have the best pictures and recipes. I am going right over to enter your giveaway.
By the way...I answered your question on my blog post comments about RMS, so that others who might have been wondering too, would have their question answered too. I have a brief description of how my nickname "Queenie" came about too. Thanks for asking about me and rms, because it sure did send me on a wonderful trip down memory lane! I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful blog posts in the future! I love your sense of humor...you are hilarious, you know that?! Hope you'll stop over again in the near future! Have a wonderful day!
Big Hugs,
Queenie

Just love all your fall arrangements Mona. I'll keep my eye out for blue fall things!

Keep an eye on that energy bill. I hear the new Smart Meters along with rate increases are causing bills to double! We just got notice they will be putting those new meters in our area soon. PG&E is crazy if they think we will stand for that! They are claiming the old way was faulty and this way is more accurate and they aren't budging when people complain. Phooey! Hubby heard about it and I thought it was an exaggeration but the Fresno news had a story last night about a meeting with PG&E, Dean Flores, and hundreds of customers complaining. One man's bill was over $1000.00! I won't need my heater becasue my blood is boiling!

Sorry for the rant, it was just fresh on my mind and you mentioned needing your heater already. I don't know if you'll get one of them with you being up on that mountain. If you do, be careful the first month till you know how it goes. They'll have to do something, people can't afford it now, much less doubled!

Stock up on blankets!

Oh Gloria, you always do the best vignettes, and yes you know I am absolutely DROOLING all over myself about the way you always decorate your wonderful cloches. I always study them as if I were studying for a very important exam. lol I love all of your decorations, they are all just wonderful. I finally changed out the living room today for the rusty peach pillows and tones, so the blue and yellow is having a rest for a while. Thanks for all the inspiration. I love it all. Hugs, Marty

This all looks so pretty Gloria. I haven't done a bit of fall decorating yet! It's hard to think about fall when it's still in the 80's! I just love seeing all of your cloche ideas. I won sweet Lynette's giveaway and I need some ideas to steal - oh, I mean some inspiration lol. Have a great day. Kathy

Gloria, everything looks so pretty. I love the way you drape gorgeous fabric across pieces of furniture. It just adds that extra texture and beauty. You did a fab job on your wreath, and I love the birds and bird nest vignette under the cloche. I can't wait to see what craft project you are working on now. laurie

Gloria,
I love all your decorations, everything just looks wonderful. I know what you mean about trying to decorate around a blue kitchen. This is the first blue I have ever had in any of my houses and I'm still not doing a good job when it comes to fall decorating. What's the secret friend?
