~Happy Birthday Jeremiah~

Hello girls...well here we our with a brand new week and Month....This picture was taken May 8, 2009 at My grandson Jacob's graduation from Fort Leonard Woods in Mo...This is his mama and my youngest Daughter Dawna...Oh she was just a crying told me she was so proud to her baby in his uniform..very emotional 3 days for her with doing the Family day at Camp...But then we are a very emotional family...I swear we could cry at TV commericals...and we have...I told you also how Jacob had to be in Fort Hood Texas by May 20,2009 to report to duty and he and his wife Morgan took off by train to make the trip there and how scare I was that we would have an Amtrak baby ha ha!!! Well guys I would like to introduce to you the newest and youngest member of my little family....This is Jeremiah Lucas Born at noon today...he weighted it at 9 pounds 4 ounces 21 inches long....BIG BOY...

Proud Daddy Jacob and Jeremiah... Just look at the size's of that boy...It's so hard for me to believe my Baby girl Dawna is now a Grandma herself....Where do the years go too...

Now I also found out my Jacob is being deployed to Afghanistan in January 2010 and will be gone for a year...So it's been a great day in one respect as with this new life in our little family...but also a sad time for us knowing that our Jacob will be leaving for a year...I just Thank God he got to be able to see his son being born...I know he will make a wonderful Father as he has been a wonderful son and grandson and my family has always taken pride in him...

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEREMIAH" Jacob Grandma is so proud of you and Dawna, Congrats to you "GRANDMA" WOW!! that sound funny even saying that...guess its another change in my life I'll have to get use to ha ha!!!

May all of you have a great week...Thanks so much for coming by and seeing my little family...

God Bless you all.

Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

My SIL just rejoined the army (National Guard) and was told he would be deployed at least twice for a year each. I'm so scared for this little family but he did what he feels he needs to do. I'm so excited by your little Jeremiah! He's a handsome one, that's for sure. Isn't it amazing that you can get and post these pictures so fast when he's just been born? Congratulations to everyone on his birth and I'm so glad he wasn't an Amtrak baby!! Cindy

Double congratulations. You've certainly had lots of blessings lately. My cousin is headed to Iraq or Afghanistan in September, also for a year. He's only 19, but a very fine United States Marine. We're all so proud, and I know your family is too. Congrats again on your blessings. BTW, how is your tooth doing? I go for my oral surgeon appointment Friday.

Gloria... I'm back! Just wanted to let you know that I didn't change anything about the way I load my pictures. I just cropped some into closeups before I loaded them onto blogger. I think that they look bigger when you do that. Basically, all I can do with my camera is point and shoot. Then I photoshop to the composition I want in my windows photo gallery. Diane is the one who knows how to make them BIG. CLick on over to her blog through my post today, and you'll see the difference.

I just sort of mess around because the buttons on my camera are too small to see to change. Since this one broke and I'm getting a new one, I hope that will make a difference in my closeups which aren't so hot.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Gloria I wish I could do the things I did around here even 10 years ago, my old bones are so sore I can barely walk after I take a powernap on the couch! My hip hurts, my shoulder hurts, my legs ache, my back aches! LOL! I'll be in a wheel chair by time I'm 60 if this keeps up! You sure do deserve the Queen Mum title, you worked hard for it! TTYL sweetie! xo

Thanks for stopping by. To answer your question - the Sunbrella fabric came from Hancock's Fabric store. It is guaranteed not to fade or mildew, and was reasonably priced on sale at $6 a yard. One yard was enough to make two throw pillows (front & back). Sally

AWWWW Gloria, he is precious! I had not read this post, and I guess I got confused and thought it was Jacob's birthday, but it was Jeremiah's day of birth! So glad he was born before Jacob left. I'll be adding Jacob to my prayer list and his wife and new baby too. laurie
