Welcome guys!! to yet another PINK Saturday Hostess by the very sweet Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ Please go and see all the others PINK ladies who has joined in on this fun day.... Today I thought I would show you a few pieces of R.S.Prussia China...this is a dinner plate and see all the beautiful hand painted flowers on it !!

Now this is a berry Bowl and I just love all the roses on it...these pieces are from ca. 1860.

Now my Mama collected Lenox she just loved it...this one is called the present and it from 1989 I just love the little boy here with his mama..

This one is the Snow Queen from 1987 and she fell in the California Earth quake in 1989 and didn't break..how ever my mama did lose allot of her stuff during that quake...

This was one of my mama's music boxes...she loved anything that looked Victorian and PINK !!! Sorry this was a short post this week ...been a little under the weather but I promise you I will do better next week... Hope all of you have a safe and blessed weekend...

Hugs and smiles Gloria

IT'S ALL BEAUTIFUL AND NOT A SHORT POST AT ALL. I DIDN'T KNOW LENOX WAS AROUND THAT LONG AGO AND LOOKED SO DIFFERENT.

Oh Gloria those Prussia dishes are so very lovely and would go perfectly with my dishes!!!!! I love the music box that was your moms- it's so fun to have things from the past to bring back all those wonderful memories!

Girl you take care of yourself! One little hint if you think you are coming down with a cold is to take hydrogen peroxide (regular stuff from drug store) and take a dropper and place some in an ear as you lay down or have your head tilted. Leave in for a minute or so then use a tissue to catch when you sit back up. Do other ear. The Dr. I worked for gave this suggestion to everyone during the winter months and it does work if you catch it in time!

Blessings to you!

I am so sorry you aren't feeling well either, Gloria. I am sure it's for the same reason I am sick too, from overwork of trying to get Christmas decorations completed. I love the plates and I love your mom's lenox collections. I can tell you are so much alike. I know how much you miss her. Get plenty of rests and be better soon, you hear?...Christine

mornin sweet G!! How did you make out with your shopping trip yesterday? Hope you finished up so you can relax til the big boy comes down your chimney! I wrapped presents last night, sat on the floor for 2 hours and could barely get up and walk afterwards!! Not kidding G, I looked like I was 90 years old hobbleing thru the house! Took 2 tylenol but still couldn't sleep with all the pain! We had some snow flurries last night and this morning, was pretty, but now its windy and bitter cold, Glad I got the yard work done yesterday! Hope you have a great day and Len cooks you dinner tonight! xoxoxo

Hey You little sweet Toot! Here's a little story just for you...when I was a little girl about 8 or 9 we lived in a little country neighborhood way away from any stores...but way back on the back dirt road was a little 'speak easy' at night & little store in the day shhhhh stop laughing! Anyway..they also sold bread...cokes...and sandwiches in there....I know ..I know..but it was hard times..But mama would send me & sister up there sometimes to get a loaf of bread...shhhh I told you to stop laughing...anyway...you would go in thru an old screen door...and man it would be so dark in there you had to feel your way to the counter and there would be one or two old geesers sitting way back in the booth at the back and all you could see was eyeballs...and the store owners name was Hant..no..not Hank..it was Hant like in ghost! lol lol Anyway sister & I always felt like we were going to be thrown into the great abyss for going in there! What are young little pure minds might have been exposed to!!!! lol lol Someone might have gave us a quarter and told us to put it in the juke box...lordy...we could have growed up to be pole dancers! lol lol
