~IT"S ALL ABOUT LOVE~

It seems like every year at this time I start thinking about life...what I have done with mine...what I still want to do with mine...and how I wished we could all just live together and offer each other our comfort and support...We as females all seem to have the same thing in common...to be able to care and share...this is what I have most enjoyed about blogging...Oh yes!! its great to see all the YUMMY recipes, the BEAUTIFUL Tablescapes, the WONDERFUL decorated homes....but it really is all about the CARING and SHARING of LOVE that I feel here in Blogland..I have truly met some of the most amazing women here...and my wish for 2009 is to meet many more....
In a zoo in California , a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, died shortly after birth. The mother tiger, after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically, she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve. After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only 'orphans' that could be found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops ??? Now take a Look !!!

Now, please tell me one more time ........? Why can't the rest of the world get along??
Maybe the rest of the world needs to start a blog....

May all of you have a safe and blessed Year to come...I truly know God has blessed me with my family and my Blog Friends....
until next Year....hugs and smiles Gloria

What a beautiful story and photos.
You know my mother is ill and I got a call from my sister that our mother is starting to give up. She does swallow hardly and she doesn't open her eyes in more. I want to wrap her in my arms and nurture her back to health. Better yet I want to have one wish and with that wish I want her to be like my mother use to be. I am hurting so back and this photo made me stop crying and see the joy in this mothers eyes. Thank you, dear friend

That is adorable! And so sweet! She just wanted to be a mommy. She didn't care that it was dinner or not. They wanted a mommy and didn't care that they could be dinner. Now they just love each other.

Gloria, she has Als also. It's been a rough 12 years with this with her. She never complains she was always a very quite person. She still is.

Gloria what a sweet post- I too (and I think God created us all with the same yearning) wish for "peace on earth". I am reminded of how far we fell with the fall. I believe as each one let's Christ's love flow through us true peace will come. THen that reminds me of how desperately I need HIM and I pray this coming year will be one with greater intimatcy with Him that others will truly see HIM and it not be me trying to love which will only mess up things!!

Happy New Year Friend!

Blessings

What a heart warming story. I agree that it's absolutely insane that we can't all get along in this BIG old world. No matter what "skin" we wear, be it tiger or otherwise, we can find a connection that's nurturing. Our first latter day prophet's wife, Emma, lost a baby at birth (one of many) Another woman had given birth to twins at the same time and agreed to let Emma's husband, Joseph, take one of the babies (Mary) every afternoon for Emma to nurture. They said that it helped Emma and Joseph to both heal and they loved Mary like their own. One day the mother gave Joseph the wrong baby to take with him and he said something like "this isn't my Mary." Even though they were identical twins he could tell them apart. We find love in our hearts if we truly search. May we have a kinder and gentler 2009. (I didn't mean to leave a sermon/book on here, but I was touched by your post!). Cindy

I know Gloria, it was soooo sad to see him. I mean, he didn't look THAT bad, he just sounded so off, and they didn't let him talk that much, but when they did, he just didn't sound like himself!?!? He wanted to, but just didn't, you know? But, what is the ball drop and NYC without Dick?
Anyway, have a good day ~

Thank you for your sweet note, and for caring. I am still struggling with shortness of breath--yet I'm somehow managing to stuff my mouth with chocolate mice. :-) Dr. G says I should be feeling better soon, and if not, it's off to the pulmonologist. I DON'T want that. So while I've got a get out of jail free card, I'm letting the house fill up with dust, no Windexing, either.
How is your little Kyra doing?
Hugs,
G.

Gloria, thank you sweetie for all the prayers for my mother. I am sitting her with her and she hasn't opened her eyes all day. It's heart breaking to see her like this. But she loves PJ and soft ones and I brought her many for christmas and she loves the boxed red cherries at christmas time. She hasn't eaten must today and she has a really hard time swallowing. I just have to get away from her when I am here so I took a walk down the road and tried to comfort myself. I stopped by the grave yard where her parents are buried and talked to them about taking care of when she is gone. She loved her mother and father very much and talked about them all the time. She can hardly talk and it's hard to make out what she is saying, gosh I lov her so much and I hope that god takes good care of her because he is getting a good one. One of the best.
