~Shadows~

Hello Guys, Have you ever taken photos at the same time of the day and upload them and seen Shadows....I wanted to show you my mantle that I redid and 2 photos came out OK and the others are just with shadows...Oh well I never claimed to be Olan Mills...

I love my French mantle clock...This mantle is hard for me to decorate as it sits in a corner...When we first added this Living Room on to the one room cabin we had a wood burning pellet stove here...

I love old leather books and decorating with them don't you...

And my French mirror...I found this 2 years ago in an antique shop in Reno,Nv and knew it had to come home with me...

Candle stick is from Home Goods 2 years ago...

And nothing would be complete without my French Bust...Len got me this one for Christmas 2 years ago...From an antique shop in Amador City...Love her to pieces
I now have 12 Busts since I started this collection in fact I have them in all sizes now...

Now this is Landen James at 1 month old and my Granddaughter Candace, he's the one Shadow I hope will be following me all the time...I'm just crazy about this little guy he now weights 10 lbs gaining a pound a week he definitely likes being breast fed and don't miss too many meals ha ha!!

I never had any boys so I think I'm really going to enjoy having a little guy at my house...I could just eat this sweet thing alive...He's so good and never cries only when he naked...does not like being without clothes ha ha!! He's dressed in his puppy dog costume for Halloween as we did go to Olan Mills yesterday to get his one month old pictures taken...He now at the age where he is cooing and just making noises all the time and smiling without it being gas ha ha!!

Thanks for stopping by and if you have not taken the time to enter my second year of Blogging give away please click here...I'm running this until November 1th and will pick the 2 lucky winners at that time...Thank you also to my new followers, I love having company on my mountain top...

I am joining in today with my Dear friend Courntey at " French Country Cottage" for feather your nest Friday...Please go see her wonderful blog to see some real French eye candy...Thanks Courntey
And Laurie with "Hunting Bargain and Chatting" for my favorite things...Thanks Laurie

May all of you have a GREAT weekend...

Until next time from my mountain to yours,

Hugs and smiles Glria

Hi there Gloria!
So glad you joined the party!! Hi Sis...

Ahhh...your little guy is getting sooo big! Can you believe that he's already a month old? Now that little puppy costume is just adorable! I love this photo of Candace and Landen...sooo very sweet!!! Ohh yes...you're gonna have fun with having a little boy around...they really are different in so many ways. You know...it was the same way for me...all girls and then my girls had all boys! Except for my two little granddaughters...hehe!

Well Sis...I just loved getting a peek at your gorgeous mantel! I'm telling you...it's French at it's best!!! Yes...your french mantel clock is totally awesome! I just stand in awe and swoon! You took such a great photo of it too...I could really see all the "up close and personal" details of it! I was just wondering...noticed all the extra markings on the face of the clock. You know...in between the regular marks of 12, 3, 6, and 9. Is there a reason or is it just for the design? Just curious! Your antique mirror...mmmm...so yummy! It stands really tall, doesn't it? And of course, you know that I just adore your french girl bust! I think Len did GOOD...when he gifted you with that! That was sooo sweet of him...that man has great taste!!! I also enjoyed seeing all of your other pretties as well...the beautiful leather bound book and your gorgeous candleholder! This french vignette is tres magnifique, Sis!!! And...I think your photos turned out gorgeous...I like the shadows...makes for an interesting photo! Kind of makes them look olden...don't you think? Sis, thanks so much for sharing a few of your fabulous french pretties with us today...I loved it all!!!

How are you doing, Darlin'? Do ya'll have plans for the weekend? We may head out to a junk flea market tomorrow...we'll see. The weather isn't so great...cold and rainy! Love ya, Sweet Sis!!!

Hi Sis...

It's just lil' ol' me again! I just wrote you the longest note and I'm not sure if your blog got it or not. Anyway, I have one more question for you...hehe! What is your french mantel clock made out of? Is it wood...marble...plaster? I'd love to know! Sheesh...I'm just full of questions today...aren't I! Well, I am learning...and you, Sweet Sis...are my teacher!

Love ya, Darlin'!

Gloria, Landen James is precious, and his mother is so pretty. Love his tiny H'ween costume! Since many of your favorites are my favorites too, I loved seeing them. That bust is just the sweetest one I've ever seen. That mirror is breath-taking! I'm not sure I've ever seen a closeup of it. I also love that beautiful table topper. And of course, that magnificent clock always amazes me. Thank you so much for linking this post to Favorite Things Sat. laurie

I love this post...but it's not because of your beautiful mantel, no, or your bust, :) but for the adorable little boy! I still cannot believe he is here and weighing in at TEN POUNDS? Good grief...he'll be grown and married before we can turn around at that rate!
The photo of him and his beautiful mother is a great treat after all she went through to get him. And you of course! You are such a good grandma!

Ok...now I am off to catch up a bit...lets see ..what do I see below...looks like something funny to me...
so..later then?
Hugs and love to you my friend!!

Mornin' Sweet Sis...

Just stopping in with my morning coffee to say hello and see how you're doing! Hope you had a great weekend...did ya'll do anything? Not too much going on here...we had a very quiet weekend! Russell just "vegged" in the easy chair most of the weekend! Hehe! I told him last night that I AM making a Drs. appt. for him this week. He didn't growl to loud so it's on!!!

Hope that my note is finding you well, honey! Talk to you later...

Love ya,
