~TOILE AND TASSELS~

Happy Tuesday Girls, Today I'm joining in with Tam at " The Gypsy's Corner"

At 3 or more Tuesday.... And Cheri at " Its so very Cheri " For her I made my own tassels party...

First I would like to show you my Toile....Now I never had toile of any kind in my house....But have seen it all over Bloggerville....For 3 or more.... I thought I would show you the Toile I now have....

I found this wonderful Blue/white table runner at my favorite thrift store Hospice about a month ago....And of course I have a Blue/ white kitchen so at $3.00 it SCREAMED my name ha ha!!

Now the Lamp shade was an old one I had....And I do made lamp shades and I found 2 place mats also at Hospice for only $2.00 so I took apart my old shade and redid it in toile from the place mats I got...Not bad for a $ 2.oo make over....
See it sorta matches the table runner don't you think....Light on...

Light off....

This sweet Toile plate also Hospice 50 cent....

Salt and Peppers shakers I also got from Hospice awhile back and just put on the Toile plate...Added one of my Cloches and a Blue ribbon....

Now the Toile pillows I got from our consignment shop so I just put them on the kitchen chairs with all my new toile look....These I paid $7.00 for the pair

See and they match the Salt shaker in the Cloche's

Now many of you know that follow my silly blog I just started making Tassels....If you would like to see the how to....Please click here....

Now this Blue/white one I just make for my new lamp shade....

These sweet little bears I just found last week at Dollar tree...so of course right away I'm thinking how cute these would be for Christmas tassels...I bought 3 differ styles of these...but have yet to make them all in to tassels yet...

This snow man one my grand daughter Candace just made this weekend...we had a Tassels making day....She just loves to create so we spend many hours when we can making things....

I had already made one of these a few weeks back....but this is the one Candace just did....Is it not darling...Love those goofy legs on these things...Also Dollar tree

I also shown you this one before that I made....But I needed to show you once again my Busty Girl one...Again I got the little bust from Dollar Tree...

Now these are the pull Tassels I made for the Victorian Lamp Shades I made....These are made with lamp shade fringe and cording and grim....I then add the Glass beads like the ones I use on the shades and some sweet little silk roses....

This one is a Key with the tassel and beads that I have in my Living Room hanging on one of my hour glasses....Now Please go by and see our Party Planners for today Tam and Cheri, Thanks Ladies for hostessing....Also Please check out my Tassel making post...These are so fun with a capital F to make and so easy....

Many Blessings today from my mountain to yours....

Gloria, these are all so pretty! My favorite one is definitely the bust. I can't believe you found her at the Dollar Tree. I'm going to have to find one so I can make me a tassel with her too! I can hear her just calling my name! :)

I love the new "look" of your blog. You really did an amazing job with the lampshade. All the blues look perfect together. Your hospice shop has good finds!

I think it is so funny that before the end of August I didn't know what a tassle was (other than to tie back drapery) and now I love looking at the ones you all are making! Have a good night.

Hi Gloria. I am dying over your blue toile and transferware. It looks so pretty all togehter. My favorite is the salt and pepper shakers! You're going to keep those roosters, right? you better hide it when your daughter comes over!

I have some blue transferware on the walls in my dinning room, along with the red transferware. I need to get that room neatend up so I can share it. It's a real mix but I love it all!

Again, your tassels are just too cute.
Hugs,
Dawn

Mornin' Sis...

Girl, you have really been a busy little bee...just a creatin' and craftin'!!! Hehe! Ohhh...and I'm so happy for you...you are no longer a toile virgin! Hehe! Sorry, couldn't resist!!!

Love, love, LOVE your fabulous frenchy blue toile table runner, Darlin'! Ohhh...it's just perfect for your pretty blue and white kitchen!!! And Girl, you are soooo creative and talented...using the toile fabric from the placemats to make that beautiful toile lampshade...gorgeous!!! Ohhh...I love it!!! In fact, your toile vignettes is stunning! Love your new lamp and the pretty cloches with all that beautiful toile!!! Girl, you did GOOD!!! Ohhh...and your new tassle to go with the toile lamp...FABULOUS!!! Sis, you got a great deal on those beautiful rooster toile chairs cushions too...so very pretty!!! You're going to have to tell me how you cover the ribbing with fabric on the shades!

I'm so happy that you decided to showcase all of those pretty tassles that you've been creating for Cheri's Tassle Party!!! You know...I just adore each pretty little tassle that you've made!!! I still think the french girl bust is my favorite and I've looked in our Dollar Tree for the busts...but they don't have em'! Shoot!!! Maybe they'll still get them in...I'm keeping an eye out for them!

Now...I have to tell you that I love, love, LOVE that you made tassles for the lamp pulls...that is just the most clever thing ever...soooo pretty and sooo elegant, Sis!!! I really do love that idea!!! Ohhh...thank you so much for sharing all of your pretties with us...you're such an inspiration to me, Dearheart!!! And...I'm so happy that you and Candice have been having so much fun together...that's so sweet! Some of my most precious memories of my Grandma are of all the times we spent together doing crafts!!! You couldn't give me a million dollars for those precious memories! I know that your Candice just adores her Grandma too!!!

Well Darlin'...I'm about to do a little more Christmas decorating. Thought I would start in my living room. I usually don't start so early but that mantel has been "burnin' a hole in my pocket" as far as decorating goes! Hehe! And...I'm just sooooo slow that I figure if I start now...I might get it done by Christmas! Hehe!

Have a wonderful day, sweet Girl!!! You sure made my day yesterday...when I got your sweet Thanksgiving card in the mail!!! Thank you, Darlin'! You're the bestest friend ever!!! You know that I love ya...

And I love, the busty girl. My Dollar Tree didn't have them. But maybe I just didn't see them.

Hi Gloria,

Thanks sooo much for stopping by and leaving such a nice message.

I know that you had ovarian cancer, in fact I told my sister about you and how you've been cancer free now for many years. That was a real comfort to her.

I'm so sorry about your mama...I'm sure you miss her sooo much. I know how sad it is to be without the ones you love at the holidays, I lost my brother some years ago. His birthday was two days before Christmas so we always had double the celebration at Christmas time.

I used to really deck the halls back in those days... trees in just about every room. These days I'm lucky to get even one up! But I usually do one of my trees in Victorian style. I would just love to show you it because I know how much you love Victorian! I really am gonna try to get it put up this year...

hugs,
Sherri
