~IT"S A WONDERFUL LIFE~

Happy Friday the 13th I know so many of you are worried about the H1N1 Swine flu and I got this in an email on how to make a home made mask...ha ha!! just too funny for me not to past it on.....Of course its recommend that you use clean undies.... Now I just also had to share with you what my Sun Room ceiling looked liked this morning...I guess you could say its getting cold up on my mountain top...Does it not look like lace !!

Now I love the 13th and will tell you why...It was on November the 13th 15 years ago today that I found out I was finally Cancer free YAHOO!! That was also the day my whole life became WONDERFUL I learned to put a new perspective on my life and never take it or the small things ever for granted again...I stopped being so worried about if my home was always Company ready and started noticing instead all the things around me that should make me Happy...

I learned how to just sit and visit with my friends and family instead of jumping up every few minutes...I learned to really enjoy my Daughters and Listen to them instead of wiping down the counters as they were trying to talk to me...I learned to not worry about what my hair looked like just that I had hair to worry about...I learned to enjoy listening to the birds sing instead of complaining they woke me up...I learned to give THANKS every day to God instead of only calling on him when I had problems...I Learned to be kinder to people...I learned if you can't say anything nice to keep your mouth shut !! I learned to really enjoy my Grand kids visiting more that worrying about the mud and dirt they brought into my house...I learned that I love having family gatherings and the mess they make and the time they take that's its more important to just be able to have the time with them.....Messes can be cleaned up...My Family is PRICELESS...And I'm so glad I have a second chance to be with them....

I learned that at Christmas time the best Christmas gifts are seeing my family with their arms Wrapped around each other with love...I learned that it really is the small every day things that make me Happy To Be....I learned to look at my Sun room windows and see all the beauty that God gave me another day to enjoy....Life is Wonderful....And Thank you God for all these lessons you have taught me !! I won't disappoint you....
May all of you have a GREAT weekend....And take time out to notice the small things that REALLY make you happy...Life is a BEAUTIFUL place to be.
Hugs and smiles

Hello Gloria,
Congratulations on being cancer free for 15 years and I pray you will be that way for the rest of your life!!!

First, the mask is hilarious! I am still laughing. I have a picture of one of our granddaughters when she was small doing almost the same thing. I have it in a little frame as I think she was so cute. She was helping her Mom fold clothes when she did it...
Mother Nature is wonderous and your pictures are award winning. "Jack Frost" did amazing work. You must just look and look at it....I know I would!
Thank you so much for sharing...

Lovely post! I really work hard to remember all of the things you mentioned. It's too bad we have to suffer through such nasty things as cancer to see joy in life. Have a great weekend, and continue to find that joy. Sally

YOU'RE THE ONE!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THAT SONG FOR WEEKS, SUGAR! I'm so glad I am hearing it today on your blog. Ohmygosh, I can't believe it. I couldn't remember where or what the name was or really even what the song said, just that it touched my heart greatly. I usually will turn off my sound when surfing the blogs. Oooooh, I'm so thrilled, chick.

Yessssss, that does look like lace and really gorgeous. We're due for snow tonight or tomorrow.

Hi Sis..

Praise the Lord!!! Honey, I am just rejoicing right along with you on your 15th anniversary of being totally "cancer free"!!! I just cry big ol' tears every time I think about all you had to go through and now...tears of joy that you are well and sooo blessed!!! I'm sure that after going through something like that...that you are soooo appreciative of all that the Lord has given you a "second chance" to experience!!! You know that I love you, Sis!!! You are absolutely right about not sweating the small stuff...things that in the end...just don't matter! I know that after some of the things that I've gone through...as hard as they were...I can still praise the Lord for the experience...simply because it "woke me up"!!! I never...ever...take anything for granted either!!! We are really blessed to have learned this life's lesson..don't you think? Anyway honey...I'm so very thankful for you, my dear sweet friend! I can't imagine my life without you in it!!! God has soooo blessed me with you!!!

Okay...before I start crying again...I'm movin' on! Girl, aren't those beautiful ice crystals on your sunroom roof absolutely divine? They are truly some of the prettiest and most exquisite works of art!!! No one can do it like God...that's for sure!!! I'm so glad that you took photos of that and shared them with us...what a sweet treat!!!

Well honey...on a real light note...hehe! I just about fell out of the chair when I came over and seen the underwear mask!!! What a hoot...but hey...it works!!! Girl, you're just too darn cute...thanks for sharing the funny with us!!!

Okay...I'm heading down to see your "goody" package from Sheila! But before I do...just want to tell you that I love, love, LOVE your new blog header and dress!!! I think it's my favorite so far...soooo pretty!!!

Love you, Sis!!!

Dear Dear Gloria, I found you as one of my early followers but there was no blog name attached. I knew your picture and had to just pass on by when doing my daily birthday month shout out to all my followers, but my golly I was on Southern Inspiration and there you were. So glad I found you. You will be up tomorrow Nov. 13th. I cannot follow you cause my Google has a glitch in it and won't allow me to do it. I cannot figure out what is wrong.Blessings

Oh these pictures! Didn't you just want to stay in that room until every bit of it melted. I can't believe the pretty pattern.

You message is a good one. I need to hear your voice in my head sometimes. I do try to "smell the roses" but once in a while I get caught up wiping off the countertops.
