~FAMILY CIRCLE~

Hello Girls !! I hope all of you had a GREAT Halloween and didn't eat too much candy ha ha!! Today I'm joining in on Smiling Sally's for Blue Monday...And guess what it's also my 200 post today...WOW!! where did the time go... Please go my and see our wonderful Hostess... Building the Nest...

Now all you guys know how much I love each and everyone of you..So I also had to do a give away in honor of making 200...This is a series of plates I found that I just love and hope you do also...It's called "Family Circle" These were paintings done in 1875 by Hector Giacometti's who was famous for his images of birds with humane emotions....And were just produced on porcelain for a limited time only....

Now if you would like to have this set and our one of my faithful followers just leave me a comment and I will put your name in the Hat 3 times...If you become a follower 2 times...Please let me know if your a follower...I really wished I could give each and everyone of you a gift from my heart, as you all have been so wonderful to me...Just putting up with my nonsense ha ha!! I will announce the winner on this Friday Noverber 6 th.

Sitting on eggs.....

Taking care of babies....

And letting go....

Are these not the sweetest little plates and the story they tell....Just like real life !!

Now on to a sad note....Len's dog Rex just died this morning he was over 17 years old...So Len feels very Blessed that he had him that long....Len loved this dog with a passion and Rex loved him with a Passion. He had Rex since he was around 6 weeks old...You see this puppy found Len on the streets of Reno,NV and Rex was a Pit Bull and Len knew no one in their right mind would adopt him and so Len took him home...He never in 17 years ever spent more than hours away from his Boy...This dog went every where that Len did...The dog was never allowed to be off his chain unless in was inside, It was so sad when I seen Len outside burying his Best friend....My heart was just breaking for him...We all get to be so attached to your animals that they become family members to us....So rest in Peace now old boy....." ALL GOOD DOGS GO TO HEAVEN"

I pray all of you have a great day on your side of the mountain....

Hugs and Smiles Glria

I personally know the pain that is experienced when you lose a pet, so my heart goes out to Len. I'm sure he knows that he has special memories of Rex that will last forever. The initial loss always hurts -I hope that Len's pain will soon be diminished.
On a happier note, congrats on your 200th post, Gloria. I'd love to be entered for your give-away of the plates. They're gorgeous. You know I'm definitely a follower.
Take care of your guy up on your mountain! hugs, Sue

Gloria, I'm so sorry about Rex! Do you know that was the name of our Irish Setter when we were little? I've never met a dog named Rex I didn't like. Please tell Len how sorry I am. I lost my babies last year.

Now, I want you to do something for me. I thought you wouldn't be here this Monday because I knew you hadn't been feeling well, and unless you want to know what you're getting (the surprise part of your giveaway package), then don't come over to my blog! LOL! There is still one part I haven't revealed, but I showed the other parts today for Blue Monday. LOL! It's your choice, though. Your package should arrive some time this week. I can't find the UPS slip, but I will keep looking. It went out on Wednesday, and I think it should be to you by Thursday or Friday.

Congrats on 200 posts, Gloria! That is something! And I absolutely love the plates. I am a follower already and a faithful follower, so does that mean I get three shots at those cute plates??? I hope so! LOL!

Sending you big hugs for a Happy Blue Monday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

I hope you are feeling better! I'm so sorry about Len's pup...we have a 13-year-old beagle who is the queen of the house. It helps me to hear of a dog living 17 years, as we worry about losing her. Please tell him how sorry I am.

The plates are darling and you are way too generous with all these give-a-ways! I am a follower and very glad to be one.

Oh I'm so sorry about Len's dog. Gosh it is so hard! And then we tell ourselves "no more animals! It hurts too much to lose them" but find ourselves with another because the love and companionship they give us over the years is well worth it. I cannot imagine not having a dog any more.

Your plates are gorgeous. What a story they tell.
We sure missed you on Friday at the AZ bloggers tea. More than one person said how we wished you could be there too! We had such a good time Gloria! It was a great day! And CeeKay is just as sweet and funny as you would imagine. It was so nice to give her a hug in person!!!
Yep, I've been following you. I'm so happy to read your happy posts each day.
Thanks for sharing with us!

Gloria, I'm so sorry that you lost Rex. I know how hard it is to love one of our little fur family members. We had a dog (his nickname was #1 son) who lived to be twenty! And when he left us, we swore that we would not have any more pets, the pain was just too much. Then Cait came home with the infamous Sax....

Mornin' Sis...

Ohhh no...I'm so sorry about Len's dog! It really is heartbreaking to lose one of these furry family friends...especially after having them for so long! Please tell Len that I sure am sorry!!! We lost one of our cats Friday...Russell caught the neighbor's dogs (3 of them) killing our little kitty! It was too late by the time Russell could get outside to save it! It just makes me sick!

Well onto a lighter and brighter note...
Congratulations on your 200th post milestone!!! Wow...can you believe it? I have a little while to go to reach my 200th. I guess I haven't posted nearly as much as you have...hehe! Anyway...you know that I love, love, LOVE these beautiful bird plates! I do love my sweet little birdies!!! I sure would love to have them!!! You are always doing such sweet things for us...I love you, Darlin'!!!

So happy to hear that you're feeling better! You must have been feeling really bad for Dawna to come and stay with you! I'm so sorry honey...I thought you were just having a head cold...I should have called and checked on you! Please forgive me! I sent you a "Get Well" e-card several days ago...did you get it? Anyway...so happy to hear that you're feeling better!!! We just found out that Darrin has the H1N1 flu...he's been sick for a couple of weeks. His mom just called us this weekend to let us know...sheeeshhh! He's doing okay though...he's young!

Well Darlin'...you take care of yourself and get over that stuff! I've been praying for you!!! Hey...have you heard back about any of Len's tests?

Love ya, Sis!

PS...you'll have to come by and check out my fireplace project and let me know what you think!

Gloria... you bad, bad, bad, bad girl, you! LOL! Now I'm really glad I didn't put Kyra's present on there so you will have at least ONE or actually make that TWO surprises. LOL!

I'm so happy you liked the gift, and now you can tell everyone that you have a child who is a bird. I really am, you know. That's actually my picture. Lisa of AKA West, Kim of Daisy Cottage, and Kim of Ticklish Mermaids can all attest to it. ;-) AND I have a son who's older than me... now figure that one out, and no, Mr. Magpie has been married to me the whole time. I just adopt people (and animals), too. So you have a grandson who is older than his mama bird. They all come with me, you know. We're one complete package. ;-)

I can't wait for your box to get there, and the UPS man (who took the picture of the bag with his cell phone) told me to tell you to be careful to open every little thing because there are many shiny objects wrapped separately! :-)

Love you...

XO,

Sheila

Tell Len I know exactly how he feels. We had a pitty, she was 8 yrs old, we lost her last may. My heart still aches, and sometimes I still cry. She was my baby and she slept with me. The picture of Len's baby reminds me of Mimi. Tell him it will get easier with time, but he will always miss his baby.
