~FAMILY CIRCLE GIVE AWAY WINNER~

Hello Girls....well I finally got my act together and did the drawing for my 200 post give away....Oh How I wished I could give each and every one of you a gift from my heart....Your all Winners to me...A BIG THANK YOU to all that entered and also for those that choose to follow my nonsense blog ha ha!! If I haven't been by to see you yet I will trust me...This has been a very emotional week here on my mountain top, with the dog dying and then Fort Hood..and 7 of the 12 that got killed at Fort Hood were in my grandson Jacob unit and he knew them personality.... You Remember these sweet plates that tell the story of life....

I think this is my favorite one...Because in real life we all have to learn to let go, be it with a parent, a child or an old dog....Len and I have had far too many discussion this week on letting go...Len wanted me to tell all of you THANK YOU for the comfort of all your kind comments this week...Which each one I read to him he would tear up on me, Many hugs I have given him and held him close as he cried...You see Rex really was his Best friend...Len had Rex for 9 years before he met me. It really was just him and his dog...I had 3 Yorkies at that time and they were my Girls...I lost Mama dog in 02 her daughters Brittany 04 and Tiffany in 05 they also died from old age....Len packed all of Rex's food and treats and took them all down to the Pit Bull shelter Yesterday....And I told him before he left he best not bring another dog home...ha ha!! I know many of you said he should get another dog but since Len and I have been together we have yet been able to just go some place and spend the night as we always had dogs to take care of, my dogs were not a problem as I could board them but with a Pit Bull no one and I mean no one would care for him....So we both feel we have put our life on hold for too many years and we both want to travel now and come April we plan on going to Vegas to meet up with Chari and Russell at Happy to Design for the Rockabilly car show YAHOO!! all music from the 50's...And Len and Russell are both BIG time car nuts I can't hardly wait to meet Chari in real life and for 4 days WOW!! we'll both be talked out by that time ha ha!!

Any way I best get to the winner...now as a rule I don't show the random number thingy and my lousy handwriting list...But this time I had to as you see I don't want anyone to think this was rigged ha ha!!!

As you can see I had 178 to enter...now really I had one more but she had the nerve to tell me she didn't want to be entered as these plates were not her thing and I won't mention any names Justine here.

So Mr. Random number thingy came up with 110....

This number was Melissa at "Heart and Home" OMG!! was my first thought people are going to think this was rigged for sure...As you know I adopted Melissa months ago as a Daughter and these plates aren't really her thing...But maybe her Cat Chestnut would like them for his room ha ha!! Oh Yes her Cat has it own room...Congratulations Melissa !! Now Please do your self a big favor if you have not met Melissa go by and visit her you won't be disappointed.... And girl I already have your address as I plan on moving in with you in my even older age ha ha!! Love ya sweet girl...Thank you all again...Now my next give away will be after Thanksgiving ....
May all of you have a Great Sunday...I am going to Second Sunday swap meet YAHOO!! Just know something is SCREAMING my name and I also get to see my Daughter Gina and do Dinner... Please take the time today to pray for our Service men and women and thank them for protecting our Freedom....
Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria

If they aren't her thing, I'll be happy to send her my address:)

Congrats to your winner. As for your grandson, that is a lot of people to lose at once. My heart breaks for him.

I trust you, after all my niece Maryanne won my give-away and it definitely wasn't rigged! Mine was done by whoever guessed the closest geographically wo where Trav would serve his mission. No way to cheat on that but I was worried some might think I did anyway, lol! Congrats to the winner I hope she loves these plates bz they do depict how life truly is. Once again, my deepest sympathy to those friends who were lost. I'm glad your grandson was one of the lucky ones.

~LOL! Oh my goodness! Mom you are so right. You are my blogger Mom and a few may have thought you picked me. It was just my lucky day today that's for sure!

Thank you so much!!! They really are BEAUTFUL. I will find a special place for them in our home.

I'm so sorry about the doggies. I do know how that feels.

You are still on my mind and my prayers go out to Jacob. How hard that must be.

Blessings tonight from your your NC daughter.

That is so funny that Melissa won! I am happy for her and I know you wouldn't rig your giveaway but it sure made me think you had blown an extra good luck kiss her way!

How fun that you will be able to meet Chari!!! I am dying to do the same and so wished I could have hid in Sally's car when she went to meet her!!

It was such a terrible thing that happened at Ft Hood. My friend has her son there also and was so concerned. Pray Jacob will be ok and will somehow through this tragedy be brought closes to the Lord.

Yes, Melissa is a very lucky girl, these are beautiful...congrats Mslissa!!!

And girl, I have still been sad over your dog....we have the same problem here, I can not leave my dachshunds because Sophie (the oldest) freaks out...so I have stayed home the last two trips my husband took to Colorado because I could not leave them....and it was not wise to try and take them or a new puppy.....but...I love my pups! Tell your husband I have thought about your dog all week....with a heavy heart, for your husband and you...it is so hard to lose a pet, they become family. Hugs...

OH Gloria,
This is just a wonderful post! I feel so bad for your grandson and the pain he must be feeling. I am glad that Len was comforted by the notes left for him. YAHOO! Meeting Chari and Russell for 4 days, I would love to be there too! Congrats to Melissa on winning and don't worry about people thinking it's rigged. You are so generous and fun it's a treat just to visit your lovely blog! Hugs, Cindy

I am so happy for Melissa! I just love her!

And Gloria, I've been thinking about you and hoping you have gotten some rest after that scare with your precious one at Ft. Hood. I feel so sorry for Len. I've been there. Both of our pups left us for Heaven (and yes, I believe dogs are there, too) last year. I still can't talk about it without crying.

Love to you and Len...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Uh oh, I've been called out! But, you have to know that I didn't enter because I just KNEW I would win and take those beautiful plates from someone who could truly give them a worthy home.

Okay, so no more dogs for now. How about a cat? Every mountain recluse needs at least one cat, don't you think?

Justine :o )

I saw some of those exact plates in a shop months ago, like last Spring. They kept haunting me, so then when I went back, prepared to buy them, they didn't have all 4 sayings anymore. Congrats to Melissa, I think she is my adopted sister anyway, so I am happy for her!
Your song playing on your blog, so good. So glad Jacob is ok but so sorry for his big loss. Have him get help, counseling if he needs. That is alot to deal with!!
God be with us all!

Hi Sis...

Sorry that it's been a couple of days since I've been by...I've been galavantin'!!!

Oh Girl, I know...I was just shocked when I heard the news about this horrific thing that happened at Ft. Hood! It's all just so hard to imagine...I'm still asking myself the question...WHY??? And now...to think that this man is still alive while so many others are not...because of him...is almost unbearible!!! It didn't even dawn on me that your Grandson was stationed there...and at the same time I knew that but didn't remember! I'm so thankful that he is okay! I will certainly be praying for him! And I am praying for all of the loved ones that lost family members! This is just horrific!!! As far as I'm concerned this was an act of terrorism!!!

Well...on a lighter note! Girl, I couldn't be more happier from Melissa to be the winner of those sweet bird plates! I wonder if she'll use them in her pretty blue bedroom? Can't wait to see what she does with them! Thank you so much for having such a fabulous giveaway in honor of your 200th post, my friend! You're the best!!!

Ahhh...I sure do hope that Len is doing a little better with his loss! And Girl, don't you know that we're going to paint that town red!!! Hehe! Hmmm...do you suppose there is anything left to paint red in Vegas??? Hehe! Bet you and I can find a little something to do there! Ohhh yea...I fully expect to be voiceless by the time we are ready to leave! Hehe! I am soooo anxious...can't hardly wait, Darlin!!!

Well Sweetie...I'll talk with you later! Just popping in to say hello and see how you were doing!

Love ya, Sis!
Chari

Congratulations to Melissa! I just know that she will find the perfect place for those lovely plates in her beautiful home. Gloria, I was stunned to hear about what happened at Ft. Hood. We have been at the coast since Thursday morning and did not have the tv on or internet access so we just heard today. I'm so happy that Jacob is safe, but am so sorry for his loss of friends. Will keep all of those families in our prayers. And hugs to you too dear, I can only imagine how worried you were until you heard from him. Hugs, Kathy

Oh Gloria, I'm so sorry about your dog. I missed that post. I'm also so sad that Jacob lost so many friends in the tragedy at Ft Hood. I just said a prayer for him and for all of those service people and their families at Ft. Hood. I'[m just so thankful that Jacob wasn't there when it happened. Congratulations to Melissa, and if she wants me to take those pretty plates off of her hands, I'll be glad to do that for her. (I'm just nice like that)! laurie
