~PINK THAT MAKES ME HAPPY TO BE~

Well Guys !!! here it is another PINK Saturday already...Please go by and thank our hostess Beverly at "How sweet the sound" http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ and see all the great PINK Eye candy today.... I know I usually show something antique in my home...but today I thought I would bend the rules and show you my little pride and joy.... This is my great grand daughter Kyra Shea !!! she was Born on December 19, 2008....and by the time she was 8 hours old she had to be air lifted to Children's Hospital in Dallas, Texas....she had to have her Esophagus repaired as it wasn't attached to her stomach and then she had heart surgery because the Aorta valve was bad...This was all before she was 6 days old...

Now here is Kyra Shea at 2 weeks old..she still have tubes attached to her...and its seem like every time they take her off of breathing machine she has to be put right back on again...the sweet little thing has yet to cry...as of now they don't know if her vocal cords are damaged...only time will tell !!!

This is my daughter Gina, she is the proud Grandma she spent all last week in Texas at the hospital with Kyra and was so lucky that the day they removed her breathing machine that she got to hold her...she told me " Mama it was so exciting to me" she gave the baby a zillion kisses and didn't even want the proud parents to hold her !!!

Proud Mama and Daddy.this was the first time they got to hold their baby since she was 6 hours old..oh!! girls when I got these pictures from my Grandson Josh I was just shaking trying to open them...and cry did I cry...just to see this sweet little baby and to look at her you would never know they was a thing wrong with her...now she will be in the hospital for some time yet as she have to have yet another heart surgery when she is 3 months old...Doctors want to wait until she is stronger and bigger to repair a hole in her heart...I want you all to know how much I appreciate all the prayers you have given to my sweet Kyra and family.....God does know your name...thanks for coming by today and I do hope I didn't bore you too much with my PINKness today...

Hope all of you have a safe and blessed day....I know I sure am blessed !!!

Hugs and smiles Gloria

Gloria, I am so glad to see little Kyra being held by her parents and grandmother. I know you are just aching to get your hands on that sweet little thing. You're right, you can't tell by looking at her that she has been fighting for her life. She looks so healthy. I'm still praying for her. I know she and her family have a long road ahead of them, but I also know that, with God's help, they've come a long way, and will face the challenges ahead of them with strength. love ya, laurie

You certainly warmed my heart and spirit with these wonderful pictures. That was certainly an accomplishment considering the cold weather this country is experiencing at the moment.

My prayers continue for you and your family. You will face many trying times in the days ahead. You won't be alone.
