Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary. ..
Day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards. There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now................
Is this not the Truth !!!
Hope all of you have a great day...will see you all for PINK Saturday
Hugs and Smiles Gl♥ria

What a great post Gloria. I received this in an Email a while ago, and must have deleted it by accident. It is SO true! This just makes me grin and giggle. I got one not too long ago about how to pill a cat, it made me cry I was laughing so hard. I'll try and find it and post it. Thanks for the big belly laugh. How is your sweet Kyra? Praying hard for all of you. Hugs, Kathy
Your pets are so cute, Gloria! How is little Kyra doing? I pray that she is doing a lot better...Christine
I would be curious how you acquired the power to read these delightful creatures minds, because I think you have it dead right.
Felines learn very quickly how to take full advantage of the inhabitants of the houses they live in, while canines stand ever ready to answer their master's bidding.
Prayers for you and yours.
I loved this!
ROFLMAO!
I love that and so true.I have 4 dogs, a cat, 2 turtles and a cockatiel.
I wonder if Meghan's cat has read this somewhere and this is why she torments me so? Something to think to about???
TOO CUTE!
Bear was obsessed with tennis balls and Chestnut almost tripped me just now while I walked downstairs...
I kid you not.
So true my friend. :)
Too cute!!
This is why I prefer dogs--my favorite thing!
Hi Gloria, Great post and you have captured this just perfectly! I can just imagine that this is really what goes through a dog and cat's mind! Maybe "Dogs are from Venus, and Cats are from Mars!" LOL!
Enjoyed your post below! You are such an interesting person. ...Would have never imagined you as a bird farmer! My uncle had one growing up and I LOVED to visit!
I wanted to THANK YOU for your prayers and encouraging comments for my family over the last week! They meant so much and we really appreciated them! ~hugs, Rhonda :)
Oh, Gloria! This was so cute! Loved the doggie and kitty's diary! Just like a dog and just like a kitty!

Loved the photos!!
Hi Gloria!
Oh how true!! Complete and accurate!
Thanks for the laugh!
Hugs, Sherry
Oh my word...that was hilarious girl..I loved the cat diary!!! lol lol That sounds like something I would write! lol lol The funny thing is...is that it is so true! lol lol Our black cat B B will bring the mouse right out of the field alive and drop it at your feet (you remember the Halloween episode!) Then she sits so calm and noncaring as you walk by to get in the door and just when you think it is safe she runs up behind you and 'tags' you on the foot! lol Ohhh I think she has special powers too...I can open the front door and she will be there and I will tell her to go around back & I'll get her something to eat...girl the minute I open that back door she steps up on the door stoop and looks at me like 'what took you so long'! lol lol Now our newest cat Boo...he is huge and wants to eat all day (that could explain the 'huge' part) I think he would faint if he saw a mouse! lol lol Have a great weekend sis!♥
Hi Gloria...I came running as soon as I read your post title...LOL, this really sums it up pretty accurately, doesn't it? Please keep us posted on Baby Kyra too!
;-) Bo

Funny and so very true. How is kyra?Roo and I just prayed for her again. He's even learned to bow his little head.God be with you...Ann
OMG, this was too funny! Life, from the cat's perspective. I hope my kitties don't feel that way! Although Zoe is constantly tripping me while I'm walking...
Justine :o )
Toooooooo dang funny! LOL! Love the cats take on things!
I have seen this before and it always makes me laugh. I have a cat and she is the queen of the house. All the chairs are hers. If you are not adoring her she comes over and taps you for attention. If you open the cupboard, it must be treat time for her. ME,ME, ME....that's all she can think about! Except when it is time to settle down for the night and then it is time to cuddle with me! There is nothing better than having her snuggle up to me and purr contentedly as I stroke her soft fur and coo sweet words to her. OH yeah...then it still is all about her!! LOL
Hi Gloria..I have seen this before, but it never fails to make me laugh! It doesn't take much to please a dog...cats, on the other hand...lol How is Kyra? Please keep us updatd. Hugs...Debbie
Morning, Sweetness! Oh, hard hats! I didn't think of that one! lol
Be a sweetie and I like your roses in your blog background!

So what are you up to today? Got any plans for the weekend? I'll still be "plugging away" at finding a home for all my stuff...hehe!

I just found your blog--and I LOVE the furry stories!! I also have a dog (corgi) and a cat (black) and this sure sounds like their days!
My cat is presently attempting to become bald by pulling out his hair--I think it's allergies!
You have a beautiful blog--look forward to following!
I did this exact post a while back and still think it's hilarious;) French
Very funny,
I loved it, thanks for sharing.

Hi Gloria, :) I'm still cracking up at this post.
No, I'm going to pass on PS this week. It was really fun I just don't have much Pink.
I'd rather it be something of my own in our own home you know.
That's just me....:)
I know not everyone does it like that and that's cool.
Check out Barb's Blog @ Grits and Glamour.
She's going to host...

Sounds like a fun one to join. I'm giving it a try.
I'll check out your PS.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments, Gloria. The newlyweds got a lot of presents, pretty much everything they picked at Target, in fact, they are still coming. They also got a lot of cash....Christine
Love your fur babies, Gloria! :-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
I laughed and Laughed and LAUGHED over this!! I have both and it's soooooooo true!! L~
Gloria, Thanks for sharing, it is one of the funniest things I have ever read! I am not a cat person, but I think that nailed them! Have a great day! Sue
Miss Gloria~ One good coffee spray deserves another, and so I did! Laughing out loud!!! You know I love me some kitty. Contrary to my kits opinion I adore pups too.
My kitty has always been to skittish about leaving her own domain.....until the neighbors cat decided to venture into our backyard. He drank from the fountain, lounged on the wicker, peed in the flower bed, made himself comfy! Well, to my cats dismay she witnessed this vagrant activity and bolted after him!!! She leaped through the yard with cheetah like agility! She chased that cat under the fence (she's to fat to go over) till she reached the street. She sat there to make sure he had no intentions of returning. I screamed for her return....she sauntered back beaming over her conquest. I was relieved she made it safely home. I'm still in shocked to have seen my 14yr. old kitty move like that.
Sweet Wishes,
Sara
