~Finds~

Hello Guys, I hope all of you have had a GREAT week so far...with all the snow I haven't been out much to shop...
But I did win this Italian Otco silk picture from EBay a few weeks back...It's very French as it's Marie Antoinette...I just love how she's lookin at her own picture..It's from 1890 and all hand painted on silk..

It so reminds me of my dear friend Vanna aka *winks* of Delusions of Grandeur if you have not been to her blog and Love all things French check it out!! Beautiful Frenchy eye candy awaits you..

We have a new thrift store that just opened in January right here in my small MayBerry
town..
I found this very heavy shelf it's made like with cement...Have not a clue where I will put it yet but for $5.00 it had to come home with me...

I just love all the details on it...

Then at the same store I found 4 of these plate frames for $1.00 for all

Love how they clip in the plate

Still have not hung them as I don't know where to hang them ha ha!! do you ever just buy something because the price is too great to pass up and then have no clue where to use it or put it??

My newest Collar box another EBay find a few weeks ago...
I got it because I loved the Victorian woman on it...

Then I went shopping in my barn..Oh yes I have a 3000 ft barn that I go out and shop in...found this mirror and picture frame and put them together

I love the new look with my French shelf...

I sat the Otco up on my mantle for now..again until I can find a spot to hang it...
And put the collar box on my desk until I can also find it a home...I have been trying to purge my house this week and I now have my sun room full of stuff to give to my daughter next weekend..Thank God for daughters ha ha!!
Landen James is coming over tomorrow to watch me ha ha!! I just love having that little guy here, he brings so much laughter in my home..his little head reminds me of a bobble doll the way he eye balls everything in my house ha ha!! I can just see it in his eyes how nothing in this house Will be safe a year from now when he walking!!
I am joining Courtney at " French Country Cottage" for feather your nest Friday..Thanks Courtney!!
Thanks for coming by and seeing me..Until next time from my mountain to yours,
Hugs and Smiles Gloria

Hello, dear sister friend. I do hope you are feeling good..I know you've been cooped up in the house awhile now. I had to laugh, tho, when I saw that you were still shopping. hahahhhaa...it is too easy to shop on Ebay. I used to get things I really didn't need, just because someone else had outbid me. haha...I seldom go over to Ebay now.
Your french painting is lovely. I know it looks fabulous in your pretty home.

Hi Dear Gloria! Glad you were able to get out of the house and look what you found! Oh, the Marie painting and frame is gorgeous! And I had never heard of a collar box until I met you! :) That's a pretty one. You're going to have to show us your barn! It must be amazing if you can go in there and shop! :)
Enjoy little Landon James and takes lots of snaps. I'm sure he's grown a ton. Little Carter will be a year old on the 15th! I just can hardly believe it.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

It was so good to hear from you!!! I hope life is going well on your side of the mountain. I just noticed that your desk is very much like one that my daughter brought a few months ago. Does yours have all the hidden compartments too? I guess your babies are growing up as fast as mine. Do you have any new ones?

Morning you little sweet toot! First let me say a million thank yous for the card...how did you remember our anniversary!? But here's the funny part..Bill comes walking in the house and yells 'WE got a card from Gloria!' I thinking 'we'??? He said 'yea.. it says both of us' My first thought was oh no..the poor sweet girl is starting to get old on me...she has forgotten that she already sent us a Christmas card! lol lol I kid you not....I never imagined it was an anniversary card! lol lol Ohhhh I need a pill! lol lol Thank you sis...that was just so sweet of you..that's one of the reasons I love you so...you are just always so kind and loving.

Now on to your treasures...they are beautiful and I love those plate holders and what I wouldn't give to 'shop' in your barn! lol But like you I have stuff in the study now that I bought two weeks ago that I haven't found a place for!

Hope you have a great weekend sis and thanks again for being such a precious friend...I love you to pieces sis....Picket
